I just bought one in a horrible condition too😢😅 when my coworker sold it to me it didn’t even start but he’s a good guy so I believed it would and for the price I paid worth a try checking it out when I got home He must have flooded it cus when I got home a couple days later I pulled the pull start a couple times and it started 😎.. I put a trickle charger on it for a couple days and it started right up 😎.. the battery just needed a little bit of love I then did the spark plug, air filter, spark arrestor maintenance, and cleaned the gunk of dirt out of the little thing behind the air filter… It’s a cap you unscrew and clean.. I guess it kind of filters the fuel… runs like a champ now but smokes a bit.. and no I didn’t overfill the oil.. if I can fix that awesome but if not oh well I smoke a lil too 😂
There’s a big plastic gear inside the recoil that it chewed off some teeth. You can hear it when it’s turning over and then it stopped at that open point where the starter wasn’t engaging, teeth ripped out. I have one I was just working on today, big pain in the ass to get to, trust me
Hey Glen I have the same generator my problem is my generator run fine it just will not idle up when put under a load can you help me with this problem thanks and god bless
Good guess. In video 2, I removed it and it was fine. I am learning alot about these gens. Not too bad to work on...so far anyway. Still have to put it back together once the parts show up...lol
Nope... just needed a good tune up, and most of all a valve adjustment. Watch the other videos on this unit as it transforms into a nice little gen. I ran it all day at an event and sold it Saturday for $1,100.00.
You must be looking for how to videos. I don't do how to videos, I often work on things I have never worked on before. I bring my viewers along for the ride fixing stuff.

such a shame to allow a nice Honda generator to get nasty like that.

Probably needs a thorough tuneup, i.e. seafoam the carb and maybe a new spark plug.
clogged fuel line
Good guess.... in episode 2, I removed the sediment bowl to find it 1/2 full of sediment, but nothing was clogged.
