I appreciate the information and heads up on the Kemi Moto heated gear. As a year-round rider for the last 15 years, I have been continually refining my gear. For the first five years, I used no electrics and found myself often using the headlight or muffler to warm my frozen hands regardless of whatever extreme winter gloves or mittens I could find. Eventually I bought wired electric gloves and they were ok down to 20F without any wind protection on the grips. With muffs I'm good for commutes well below zero. But the wires are a pain. So the Kemi Moto battery powered gear is attractive.. I may take advantage of the discount to get some socks, the last weak link! Thanks again for sharing your experience!

I ordered the pants and vest a couple weeks ago. I only really wanted the vest but the sale was good so I got them. Ironically, only the pants showed up. They are pretty nice though. I wanted the gloves but they were sold out and I got another brand. Heated gear is pretty cool.
The vest looks like a hot idea (get it "hot" heat... I made a funny... lol) As for the gloves and socks at least in my experience the gloves only heat the backside of the hand which does not take care of the palms where my hands get the coldest. Now, I can understand the reason for this because putting wires in the palms and the constant motion of the flexing would eventually break the wire. As for the socks, it's pretty much the same issue, they warm the tops of the foot but do nothing for the bottoms where I get the coldest. For my feet, I just use the HotHands Toe warmers but I only use them when I'm going to be riding for long distances. As far as my hands I just put on my heavier deerskin gauntlet gloves and turn on my heated grips. This eliminates the need to carry batteries, chargers, power packs just to charge the batteries when they go flat.

I have that kemimoto dry bag. Used it a few times to include a 13 day trip out west. Pretty sturdy and a good design. You’ll like it.
