Glad u posted this. I saw this on Amazon and will be getting these as well. I couldnt find the ones for the axle. Glad u mentioned that so i could order it as well. I have a 2020 Ryker Rally and mine didnt come with it.Another u tuber suggested plastic chrome sink end caps . I bought some at home depot, but i like the ones u posted. Thank you
Thanks. Yes the plastic plugs are cheap and easy to take off when needed. The metal ones are good as well I just like the cheap plastic ones as they are black in color. One thing I learned was to cut a slit in the plastic caps to clear the red hook part in the hub.
As a massage therapist no tools needed to put the cap hub on! Haha haha strong fingers. These went on very nice, i have the sink stoppers that I covered for the outer cap.Gotta love “tricking out” our rides. Mine is a 2019 and it did not come with it
I’m going to try the pipe plug on the inside and outside of the front axles, then put the cap hub on the inside of the axle. Good call on notching the pipe plugs for the safety pin.
Got my plugs delivered the issue I was having with seeing the cap hub link was my browser so make sure you open in safari or internet explore. Great videos man I have been making changes to my 2020 Ryker rally thanks to you.
Thanks for the video. I think I am going to give the inside a shot of “Fluid Film” before putting the caps on, that should hopefully prevent any future rust.
I got the plugs but had trouble with the back tire even cutting the part for the wire. It didn’t go all the way through but it felt tight enough will see when I drive.
Like it but I don’t know about cutting that pin ... that mite be an integrity issue because that helps you know if the wheel is compromised if it comes loose .. let us know how after a few miles if your having issues with the pins you cut... great video man
It would be a good idea to coat the inside of the hub with some type of corrosion prevention compound before sealing up the front of the hub unless you plan to take the front caps off frequently to inspect the hubs
I heard u can spray a little wd40 as a coating to prevent rust. I might do this and use the caps. I have a 2020 Ryker Rally Edition and dont have thos issue yet, but i want to try it as a preventative.
@@RideAboutNow I usually use regular old wd-40 applied once every two weeks and has done the trick as far as preventing corrosion going on over a year now, but my hubs are open on both ends. I would probably recommend something a little more heavy duty that lasts longer. I know wd-40 makes a heavier duty corrosion type inhibitor and I'm sure there are other brands that do the same thing as well.
Use Rustoilem paint. Or you can purchase just the Penetral additive. You can apply it with a brush. The additive actually kills the rust and protects the surface.
Hi the knight ryker, i try to write you in "english". I have a question : why you don't make the Amazon cap inside and outside the axle wheel? In this configuration water can't come inside the axle. No? Can you tell me what do you think? Thanks
Thanks for the video brother I order the caps off of amazon last weeks but wasn’t sure about the inside caps when I went to the website becuz I didn’t know if I ask for 1 quality which could be one pack but a friend of mines said that he order and he said it she be 3 quantity, but thanks again for all of your videos I have some news I will be sharing from video about the madstad windshield which cause me money out of my pocket becuz it and the adapter was to heavy for my bracket on my handle bars which cause ware and tare. So had to take my bike to the dealer and have them to put me a new cluster and bracket as they say. Cause me to pay 644.0 in parts and labor , was not to happy with Slingmods so be aware Slingmods will not compensate any money back to you do to there product damaging. They are blaming it on BRP for not making equipment strong enough. So by sending them email was a waist of time but I will be doing a video to warn anybody that is looking to by an aftermarket windshield from Slingmods could be getting ready to cause damage to there bike because Slingmods will not pay for no damage. So now I have a windshield just sitting in my garage as a Display😡 so brother I would like to get a windshield but not from Slingmods I wouldn’t recommend them to nobody please forgive me for venting but it just piss me off the way people do things I sent pics of the damage and just a waist of time, but anyway bro have bless day.
Anytime bother. Man that is horrible news. Absolutely I will be waiting for that video, people need to know the good stuff and the bad. I am actually doing a review on the F4 customs shield this week and should be able to secure a limited time promo code for anyone who is interested.
Got my Ryker back from the dealer and all they did was paint the hubs so I went ahead and ordered those caps because they obviously didn’t fix the rust issue..
The Knight Ryker I figured they’d replace it altogether instead they painted the inner hub. Not sure if they bothered sanding it or not, but they’ve painted it once before and it didn’t last
@@RideAboutNow thank the link says they don’t longer sell them. But I reached my dealer hopefully they can help because I have looked all over online 🙁
I really just have to ask if you really ride your bike? 🤔🤣 Neither mine or my wife's were that clean the day we picked them up from the dealership!🤣😂👍👍👌
Those inner hub cover are not going to do you any good. The 2021 Ryker Rally comes with those. And my friends is already seeing rust on his inner hub. You need the full hub cover.

Haha that's right. Hey I love doing the mods that cost in the single digits, know what I mean.
I have a 2019 and did not come with the Ryker. I ordered mine a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching.
I’m going to try the pipe plug on the inside and outside of the front axles, then put the cap hub on the inside of the axle.
Good call on notching the pipe plugs for the safety pin.
Greg let us know if the cap will fit over the pipe plug on the inside.
Hey by any chance would you happen to know the size of the cap hole
I don't, but the links to both items are in the description of the video.
I received both the Axle hub caps and Axle plugs today. Thank you for posting the installation video.
My pleasure.
Hi can you give me the dealership email address ,so I can order axle hub caps and axle plugs,I’m having the same rust problem with my ryker. Thanks

I got the plugs but had trouble with the back tire even cutting the part for the wire. It didn’t go all the way through but it felt tight enough will see when I drive.
That is odd. Mine went all the way through of course i cut a decent chunk out of it. But at least you've got them on.

How about putting a pipe plug on each end of the axle , then put the cap hub on the backside.
I was thinking the something watching this video. That way no water would get in there.
That is a great idea.
Cool i was wondering if i could get those ! My son got a 21 and i got a 19. Mine didnt have them. Thanks
Yeah some people got it I didn't either.
Newbie here is there a reason why you cant use the outside covers on both sides so no water gets in at all??
I would imagine there is not enough room for the cap to clip on. Let me know if you try it.
I installed both products, which didn’t come on my 2019 Ryker after watching Rick V videos.
Nice. Wonder how some people had it on their bikes. I bet that number was pretty low.

The Knight Ryker thanks
The issue that I was having was the internet browser I was using it was telling me the page didn’t have them anymore.

And btw spyder F3 comes with an iteration of a cap for the hub standard
@@maxdorito Wow. At least the Spyder owners can take comfort.
Do you know if the axle cap come standard on the Can-Am Ryker rally 2021
I am not sure about that. From what I've heard is that they use to be standard their first year on some units then they stopped.
Did you order those air intake wire mesh???

@@RideAboutNow thank the link says they don’t longer sell them. But I reached my dealer hopefully they can help because I have looked all over online 🙁
Zia, I enjoy your vids
Did you trade your two wheeler for a Can Am
Thank you Russell. I did not, I sold it first and then purchased the Can Am.
That will not stop the rusting; it will only hide it. The hubs should be upgraded to stainless steel under warranty.
Yup can am should do that.
I really just have to ask if you really ride your bike? 🤔🤣

Oh yeah I put about 6k miles on it in 8 months. Just like to keep it clean for the pics and the videos. LoL.
People are paying almost 15.00 on-line
