    Another gr8 video Mr Morganti showing what can be done with this new tool available to we photographers. A lady called Heather Lahtinen has just released a video on Generative fill and in this shes come up with something different on Generative Fill, that is, once you've generated your 3 images you can get Photoshop to blend all three results together by holding in all of the modifier keys at once i.e CTRL +ALT + SHIFT + E. In her video it gave some interesting results. Thanks again AM for posting something to stimulate the old grey cells.

    I've learned a lot from your videos. My only suggestion on this one is that when you made your first radio filter, you can just duplicate and invert instead of making a new one.

    A really good video about your workflow using photoshops beta feature generative fill. I wonder why Adobe is waiting so long to get the feature into the product version. Until the limitation with the maximum resolution is fixed, you can't even use this properly for hobby use.

    Thank you for your tutorials, but I wonder if you could do a lot of your followers a great help. You make tutorials that I know people can follow, can understand, since you don't just race along - but explains what you do in a way everyone can understand.
    Some years ago I was struggling with printing my photos, and your tutorials on how to set up a printer and profiles, how to get a printed result that was good, was the best I could find. That's a long time ago, and lots have happened since that. And I know many people are having a hard time printing their photos.
    Would it be possible for you to make some new tutorials on the subject? Lots of people don't use their printers, since the photos (caused by many, many things don't look like what they see on their screens) looks "terrible" compared to what they believed it should look like.
    Your tutorials was great, and I truly believe lots of people could really need to know something about that. And most people talking about editing quite obviously don't know anything at all about it, even though they pretend to do.
    Thanks in advance, and thank you for making tutorials people can understand.

      I would love to do a calendar for family and friends but I have had the one image printed by online printers and not only are they all different but none match the image on the screen. I’m only a hobbyist so do not really want to spend thousands on a screen, colour calibration gizmos or expensive printers. I feel there os a solution somewhere but just where I don’t know.

    • @KentSteinhaug
      @KentSteinhaug Рік тому

      @@tonyblake8841 - You will need to color correct your screen. My guess is that the printed images was darker than on the screen, and that's because the screen is too bright, as an example.
      If you are to print your images, you need to get the screen optimized for the real colors in the image, and most screens are totally wrong in that matter.

    • @tonyblake8841
      @tonyblake8841 Рік тому

      @@KentSteinhaug thanks for the reply. I am aware of the screen brightness thing being a common mistake and only one was too bright, one too dark and the others in between. Just different colours being the problem. I think I might just try to match my view on the screen with my own printer. Still thinking about what to do. Thanks again.

    Learned something new - as always with you, about using alt+double click to expand the radial mask edge to edge. Thank you. Hopefully, Adobe will make the resolution of the generated are the same as the original for amazing results.

  • @chasebros4948
    @chasebros4948 Рік тому +13

    Just keep in mind that you have a resolution mismatch between the generated content and your original image. Your image had a height of 3264 px and generative fill only generates 1024 px on the longest side. Hopefully they will remove this constraint in the future.

    Excellent instruction as always. When I hit Cntl E in LR Classic, it opens the Beta version of Photoshop. I saw your video on how to change the default version of PS, but there is not 2 selections when I go to preferences and follow your instruction. So frustrated. All my presets are in the regular version of PHOTOSHOP. Can you help????? Thanks Steve…..

    I was hoping you would also show and compare what happens if you do no preprocessing before generative fill and compare that with your method. I suspect that the reason it is better to do most processing before the generative fill is due to the different resolution one gets in the generative fill area (as mentioned by another view above). If Adobe removes the resolution limits in the future, it may be worth revisiting this concept again.

    It would be great to see a video from you regarding the recent email from Adobe that states “Adobe is modernizing the Creative Cloud storage experience and will begin discontinuing Creative Cloud Synced files on February 1, 2024”. I’m not exactly sure how this would affect me but I often get a message as I’m closing Lightroom asking if I want to “sync” files. To me the whole process is kind of mysterious. I send my photos from the film scanner to a folder that automatically sends them to Lightroom. I don’t actually know where my edited photos are located on my Mac once they go to Lightroom. All I know is the are there in Lightroom and I send them electronically to social media, emails, etc. As I said, the whole Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop experience for me is a bit of a puzzle. Maybe there are others out there like me. I really enjoy your videos and they have been extremely helpful to me.

    Silly question....... I assume the develop panels popping out like that are part of your screen recording software. That would be neat in the actual Lightroom application for old guys like me. (using LR since Beta version, 2007?

    Great one, thanks! Which way do you think is the best to keep files tidy, delete the original NEF file or and keep Tiff that was transferred over PS or merge those raw files in LR (not sure if it's possible)?
