They never argued or fought about anything (don’t believe the Stan & Ollie biopic with Coogan and Reilly, it’s a bunch of lies wrapped into a 90 minute film). They always encouraged, supported, and complimented each other with no jealousy or friction. Even when they both went through painful marriages and divorces, they always had each other for exactly 30 years between their first official team film and Hardy’s death. Truly heartwarming.
Isn't it cool that you knew what went on behind closed doors and what went on when they were private. That they never argued in public is not the same as that they never did in private and when they did why would they tell the press about it?
Unlike so many show biz associates, these guys really got along. They actually got closer in later years when touring live shows together but there was never any professional jealousy or smallness from start to end.
