"I deserve it" can go one of two ways, I have KK or I'm bluffing. That is an excellent table talk, that is generic enough to mean whatever you want your opponent to think. Nik called, because that phrase targeted Nik's state of mind (the bluffs earlier) meaning "I deserve a fold". Nik bit. Got hooked. Not every worm is on a hook, but most are.
Reminds me of the episode of _Very important People,_ w/Vic Michaelis, where she asks tiny-hands: _"You found $100k just loose in the park? What did you do w/it..?" "I turned it into $16,000 dollars..."_ 💪🏼👨🦲
"When the money is gone, it's time to move on" Dude was the greatest donator I've ever seen a year or two ago. He didn't know he was popular for all the wrong reasons.
You know that 50% of Airball’s decision making process centered on how he would look to the audience if he folded to a bluff. He seems like he’s the easiest mark to win a big pot off of if you’re playing a streaming game with him. Eric Perrson is in the conversation too but at least Eric is ripping most of the time as opposed to hero calling
AQo is one of the worst possible hands to call a 4 bet with preflop. The opponent almost always has you crushed. Much better to float with hands like 67s, 89s, T8s etc. (and only when youre deep stacked)
BG's line screamed KK, especially after Nic 3 bet him. I play 2-5 to 5-10 and it's a fairly common sequence. I usually dump those hands unless I think JJ is a possibility. Trust me on this, the range is pretty narrow for most players. Johnathan gives really basic analysis. If he can explain this line where a 5yo can understand it, it doesn't speak well for Nic's ability. Myself personally, I dump the AQ because you're looking at a hand that's dominated 85% of the time.
You all understand that playing the slot machines is a sucker bet. They make those trays loud, because people remember the "wins" and forget the losses. That's how Nik plays poker. He's a bad player, but he occasionaly wakes up with cards and wins pots - because that's how poker works if you play enough hands.
Hands like AK and low medium pocket pairs wouldn't be bluffing... Why would those hands bluff? They have showdown value and airball isn't going to fold anything better than those hands. But I agree it's not a great call.
Airball isn't a card player he's a gambler who plays a lot of cards. In a regular Casino game they'd pick his bones dry but at these entertainment stakes he does get bailed out often.
The HCL lineup isn't all that. A bunch of players who would be much better off playing 10-20. Then again, LA poker sucks in general. The Triton feed has much better players and play overall.
Smart play is to let it go. WTF would you consider a hit on the flop? Whether you hit the A or the Q, a substantial portion of BG's range still dominates you, and you know a chunky c-bet will probably come no matter what.... and you'll have NO idea how to proceed. Preflop, you know this going to be an expensive disaster more often anything else.
I called kings , it made sense, after playing poler so long you be having a decent idea what a person had off of how they bet pre flop and after the flop. It's instincts. That's why you have to raise pre flop with any 2 cards sometimes just to keep the table honest. 😊
When you say it's over, it's the indication about something started, realistically this guy has been an awful poker player since day one, I'm sure the staff at Hustler love bringing him along because he is ATM machine
Just because these players are betting, large amounts of money does not mean they are good poker players by any stretch of the imagination. If you were playing in a $1-$2 game and someone made that call for $100. They would be considered a fish. 🐟
@tonydefranceschi8489 Yes, he can have a whole range of hands. But John asked for one and as far as value goes, there are more combos of KK making it the most likely.
This is what happens when you play too much cash game. You start thinking the fringe of your opponents range is more likely than the heart of his range. This is because in a cash game you’re gonna lose to the fringe of the ranges far more than in tournaments. Range paranoia
True. The title of the video is confusing because it seems like something dramatic will happen. But he simply lost a hand he should have not have lost. He'll go on, unscathed.
I'm commenting before Brazil God's hand is revealed. I've seen a few of your videos before but I'm not very good at poker (although I love playing it recreationally). Based on what I've learned from you, riding a 4-bet to the turn before ripping it all in screams to me like he's playing with a powerful pair: 10s, Jacks, or Kings. At this point, Airball should accept the loss and fold, which wouldn't be the end of the world. You're absolutely right when you say that this is a tricky situation, especially if your mind is being tormented by the fact that this guy normally plays quite loosely. With that in mind, anything is possible, which can be infuriating. Edit: Hand hasn't been revealed yet, but I'm thinking that maybe he could have a lower pair: 7s-9s. If his style is truly recklessly loose, then maybe even a pair lower than that, but that would still give him two pair, which destroys Airball's hand of, well, air. Edit 2: Kings make sense lol
Even though I believe he’s easy money, why would you ever wanna sit with Airball, if he’s involved in the hand without the nuts, it’s an hour freaking sideshow to get through fivecards. It’s a joke
Seems like Aces or Kings. Since airball blocks the ace, i would put him on KKs if i were in airball’s shoes. Nik’s strategy seems nonexistent. What is he doing!? I would have folded to that 4-bet and felt great about it.
Nick is so easy to manipulate. Brazil says "I deserve what I get" making it sound like he has rags and Airball immediately snap calls. LOL. It's like when Airball was bluffing and said "I have to have it" and was called. Look up FISH in the dictionary and it has a picture of Airball.
Why doesn't AJ suited or pocket jacks 4 bet the preflop? I think people would be more inclined to 4 bet with more hands if they know they are up against a loose raiser and cooler. Airballs range is way weaker than AJ suited.
I don't know his preflop frequencies well enough to say if he has it more than he doesn't, however, based on pool frequencies (having watched a bunch of HCL) I would suspect that if he were bluffing preflop then he would continue as played post flop perhaps has high as 100% of the time. Therefore, I would either have folded preflop or call down. The worst play, assuming I'm right about his post flop play, would be to call preflop and then fold post flop on a J449.
Wow, these days I try not to put someone on one specific hand and use a range of hands. That being said I can't see Brazil God having anything other than KK. Airball is blocking AA,AK, and QQ and the 4 bet pre folp, tiny bet on a paired board, and jam on the draw heavy turn leads me to believe KK is the #1 culprit.
KK makes a lot of sense. Airball has blockers to AA or QQ, and the overpair is making a lot of sense for him to play it the way he did. (or specifically AdKd if not pocket kings because he picked up the draw on the turn)
Well I have absolutely no idea what happened to any of his interpersonal relationships, his dog, his Netflix account, or his Poker game. But at least dude is getting enough protein.
I'd fold. I don't like it, and maybe should have pressed it pre-flop if I wanted to ride or die with this hand, but I'm not sure an Ace is enough to give me the hand at this point and there will be better spots to get the money in.
His plan on the flop was clearly to shove. Now Airball even loses to AJs in addition to all pairs. The only hand he wins against is A 10 suited or similar. Brazil can't expect Airball to fold to anything at this point. So he almost cannot be bluffing. Airball even blocks most diamond draws
K10ss diamonds? Maybe too fortunate of a turn card. I would prefer to go with a baby or middling ace. EDIT: Brazil's talking before the call sounded so strong, even for a talkative player.
My gut says KK. Some players like to 4-bet wide when they are short-stacked (especially against a LAG 3-bettor); you really need to some idea of that 4-betting range to make a decision here. He could show-up with all sorts of nonsense here.
KK was the most probable hand maybe Ad Kd, if the hand is being played straight forward. I'll call the 3 bet preflop and get away from my hand on the turn. Airball set himself up for disaster when he called the 5 bet. My live reads have been off on the last 2 videos. Brazil seemed like he could be bluffing with his giggling and his gibberish.
There are players who can open with almost any two cards. There are fewer, but some, players who can 3-bet quite wide. But there are extremely few players who will bluff 4-bet.
This hand is just more proof of what a fish Airball is. I don’t have my solvers memorized, but I’d be willing to bet that at these stack depths, given the preflop action, that “call” is a 5%< play. Folding is probably best, followed by shove. It’s just so hard to realize your equity otherwise with that SPR and a hand like AQo. Then after Brazil God goes 4-bet, bet, all-in, Airball acts like Brazil’s range is some big mystery and throws in more good money after bad. Just totally butchered by Airball.
I'm 95% sure that you weren't sincere in your analysis, I think you saw the video and then it was easy to say that he had KK, just because Niki had AQ, do you think that blocks all other hands? and because not QQ, or JJ up to 99 comes into this due to the way Brazil god plays aggressive beyond belief. If value I guess I’ll go w KK although nikos had k of clubs. Just don’t see him 4 betting pairs lower than QQ. Aces also possible. If bluff, after seeing mucked hands, AK of diamonds seems like only possibility, which ironically is also value. Let’s see the pocket kings. SpecificallyKDKH
