It is not recommended to add granulated sugar to buttercream because the sugar particles are chewed as they are and the texture is not good. Joon, I notice your cake looks really dense and fudgey, even though your fat/flour ratio is 1:1. What part of your method created that? Was it adding the eggs one at a time with the tbsp of flour mixture and mixing?

Did you beat butter fluffy enough? You have to beat a lot so that you don't feel the particles of sugar powder. In my case, the amount of milk that I add in summer and winter is slightly different.
