I made this for my baby's 7th month 😊 not a fan of mocha flavor, but my husband does. Yung cake batter ko divided into (2) 6"x3" pan and then later on cut into two kaya I made 4 layer cake. Yung swiss meringue since ayoko ng madami, ginawa ko lang 3 egg whites - 3/4 cup sugar & 1 1/4 cup butter. Yung chocolate ganache naman, 20gms chocolate bar plus 2tbsp all purpose cream. Yung chocolate slices, 80gms. Sakto lang lahat, walang nasayang sa ingredients 😊 Thankyou so much @jhoanienie, ang dami ko na natry na recipe nyo po and lahat magaganda outcome 🤗

I like the way you do the frosting, i don't like butter kasi, pero with the combination of marshallow icing and ka unting butter its an excellent idea katulad sa mga taong hindi gusto ang butter. Katolad ko..thank you

ms.krysthel, i just saw ur comment now. i am a month late. 🙄 im sorry. haven't tried using shortening with smbc but as far as i know, you can replace some shortening with the butter. amount will depend on you. or half butter and shortening will be stable enough. though im not a fan of buttercream with shortening po.
the same i have i use kitchen aid mix master i follow the prosedure , when im don the egg white as to be icing its been cream but when i pot the butter the texure of iceng beenn defferent . it was been ok when i pot the butter it was mess up its look like champorado .. !! i follow the measurment everything but not work at all ! verry discourage better i dont pot the butter and pot straight on the fredge was ok ..

ordinary flour is all purpose flour? if yes po, mas fluffy po if cake flour gagamitin. pero if no choice, for every 1 cup ng cake flour, reduce 2 tbsp po ng all purpose flour na lang po then add 2 tbsp cornstarch. if no cornstarch pede na din po na wala. 1 c cake flour = 1 c all purpose flour - 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp cornstarch

Hi! I tried making it again and the chiffon cakes came out OK but significantly smaller than the first time I baked it. What could be the reason... Size of eggs? 1st time I used only APF. Second time I followed the advise to replace 2TBSP APF with corn starch.
hi ms.sara, possible din po un egg if too small sya. mas malambot po if cake flour kasi tlaga ung gagamitin. di po ba nag shrink kaya lumiit? malambot po?
usually sa texture ang difference pag apf ang ginamit instead of cake flour kasi. tama naman po un sinubstitute po. sa size is the same naman dapat po.
Hi hello jhoani, as i mentioned to you that i baked this cake last night but i didnt followed the frosting coz i want to add a colorful roses on the top of this but an fortunately it didnt turn out right cause of the icing recipe is not suitable for ur mocha cake recipe . I just tried this today. Goldilocks indeed 😊. Nahirapan lang ako sa smbc kasi 1st time ko yun. Muntik na ko mag give up. Pero sabi ng partner ko sayang ingredients kaya antayin ko daw mag stiff peaks baka kaya pa. Hahaha infairness nagawa ko naman siya. 😂😂😂 thank you sa recipe.

naka high speed ka na po? sure kaya na naabot ng whisk ung bottom ng bowl po? may mixer kasi na di naabot un kaya baka di nahahalo ng ayos. kasi kahit by hand kaya gawin magpa stiff ng egg white po eh. sakit lang sa braso and hand.😅

Thank u so much po JHOANIENIE 💖😇🙏 Sobrang nagustuhan ng family ko at na elib tlga sila hahaha 😅 Oryt here's what i've experienced: *Chiffon Batter -I started 1:30pm, ni ready ko na mga ings. and equips. -nahirapan lang ako sa paggawa ng meringue dahil hand mixer lng ang gamit ko, pero nag tyaga lng po ako ng almost half an hour pra makakuwa ng soft peak 😅 opo soft peak lng 🤣 di na kaya besh! -ntapos ng mga 2pm without cooking time pa ah haha -sinalang ko na at 3:30 ko na sya natapos, opo katagal dahil steamer lng po ako hahaha,, hbang nakasalang nag gwa nko ng smbc. *Mocha SMBC -WOWOWOW!!! naiyak ako dto sa SMBC huhuhu dahil finally! Naging successful din ang Buttercream ko! OMG! Ive tried: ITALIAN, ERMINE, BOILED ICING pero nganga!, But this one! un freshness ng egg will matter din po ms.sara....mas ok if bago po sya. sa pagalasa po.

*Chiffon Batter
-I started 1:30pm, ni ready ko na mga ings. and equips.
-nahirapan lang ako sa paggawa ng meringue dahil hand mixer lng ang gamit ko, pero nag tyaga lng po ako ng almost half an hour pra makakuwa ng soft peak 😅 opo soft peak lng 🤣 di na kaya besh!
-ntapos ng mga 2pm without cooking time pa ah haha
-sinalang ko na at 3:30 ko na sya natapos, opo katagal dahil steamer lng po ako hahaha,, hbang nakasalang nag gwa nko ng smbc.
*Mocha SMBC
-WOWOWOW!!! naiyak ako dto sa SMBC huhuhu dahil finally! Naging successful din ang Buttercream ko! OMG! Ive tried: ITALIAN, ERMINE, BOILED ICING pero nganga!, But this one! Lalo na ung mgaling na tutorial ng channel na to un tlga ang nakapag achieve skin mgng successful ang frosting ko haha sobra saya ko tlga!(halos mga 100x ko pinaulit ulit panoren ang vid nya pra mamaster ko sa isip ko at di pumalpak hahaha char)
-Nagdalawang isip ako nung una kung mggwa ko ba pero literal na nag pray ako kaya salamat sa PANGINOON
ms.grace, record breaking ka sa pahabaan ng comment po. grabe effort. salamat sa pag share ng experience. un emotions ko taas baba while binabasa comment mo. una, happy kasi success...then na bother na umabotnka ng 30 minutes sa pag achieve ng stiff peak pero ganh soft lang nadating. gang sa umubra so happy uli......😅 un ang dami ko r react-an pero don ako na focus sa steamer na lutuan. hehe. failed din kasi ako ng pa steam ms.grace un may parang gummy na part pero the rest is fluffy naman. di ko din sure why eh. itong mocha na to, i tried na sa kawali with rack, maganda ung luto nya. better pa nga kesa sa oven po.😊 baka mas makasundo mo po.😊
