Which repair candle, transparent or graphite, would you recommend on a black base? Which repair, using the transparent or graphite candle, will be less visible? Thanks

Hi Sylvain, for the black base you can use the repair candle graphite. It will not be visible.

this video is absolutely useless.. why are you "repairing" a perfect new ski? does that makes sense to you? I got a snowboard which is scratched to the core by a huge 30cm scratch.. why you not showing how to repair a scratched board/ski..? is that even possible?

Hi Rudi, you are totally right. Yes it is possible to repair a huge scratch. It is important to let the Repair Candle cure for a long time before removing it again.

@@TOKOwaxandcare Thanks for your answer, thats sounds great! I went to the specialist shop yesterday. They told me that such large, long and deep scratches down to the core can only be repaired by stamping. They said that the wax from the repair candle would crumble out after the first run.
That's why I left the snowboard there for repair. However, if it is really possible with repair candles, then I will pick it up again today and save myself the expensive repair costs. Is it really possible to repair such blatant scratches and how should I proceed step by step?

@@rudivoballmoos5435 It depends on what kind of scratch it is. If it is deep and you can see the wood inside, then it is better if the dealer repairs the base. But superficial, long, narrow scratches can be repaired yourself. If it is a deeper scratch you can drop the candle onto the base, let it cool down and then again dropping some candle over the first layer. When the wax hardens it contracts, therefore it is better to repeat this 2-3 times.

if you are going to advertise your repair candles why wouldn't you do an actual repair? This is nonsense, repairing a new ski without any scratches :))
This video demonstrates nothing. You could have just melted a regular candle and scrape it off and the result would have been the same.

Hey there - you might be right! But: The Video is almost 10 years old. For the next/new videos we will include your suggestion. Thanks.
