But, the other kind of knowing that has to do with immediate direct knowing-like I know myself without reflection... that memory, my knowledge of myself, is happening right now. I know what I am. That memory is not what I remember about what I am. So, it's not about self-image anymore. Self-image tells you what you learn to be. This is new kind of knowing that is called "gnosis" where there's what I call immediate knowledge. It's a new kind of knowing that most human beings don't know or are not aware we have. I'm giving you a possibility of knowing. We think of it as a capacity of the mind, but this kind of knowing is the capacity of the soul, not really the mind. It involves heart and mind together.
