Thanks for doing this, I've just finished the series, not sure what the main goal is but I think it would be beneficial if you both delve in to the basics a little bit, after all those videos I was expecting to understand what diamond approach is, or "soul" and what you mean by that, what's presence for Hameed? or enlightenment? It would be much better if you emphasize on these basic concepts, and also I really would like to know how diamond approach changed it's students in the long term, what they become? Some stories to understand it better would be amazing!

"But, the other kind of knowing that has to do with immediate direct knowing -like I know myself without reflection...that memory, my knowledge of myself, is happening right now. I know what I am. That memory is not what I remember about what I am. So. it's not about self-image anymore. Self-image tells you what you learn to be (you). This is a new kind of knowing that is called "gnosis". Where there's what I call immediate knowledge. It is a new kind of knowing that most human beings don't know or are not aware we have. I'm giving you a possibility of knowing. We think of it as a capacity of the mind (a subject knowing an object that is separate from the subject), this kind of knowing is a capacity of the soul, not really the mind. It involves heart and mind together." (Note: In Alchemy this referred to as "soul" might be equally well called the "knowing substance" that has been purified of its sense of being a separate entity -in alchemy this is called the lower energies- and this (purification) makes way or room for the descent of the purified or higher energies aka "the divine energies". The Bible says: "We see through a glass darkly (seeing through some degree of the sense of separation) but then we see face to face aka "essence to essence". As a first approximation we could say the first way of knowing with its many degrees of knowing is "relative knowing" and the second kind of knowing or "gnosis" is unitive knowing or seeing with the "divine" eye. Consider these more poetic words from Rumi Mathnawi book 2 lines 1761-1765: "Because the heart is the substance, speech (only) the accident; so the accident is subservient, the substance is the real. How much (more) of these phrases, and conceptions and metaphors? I want burning, burning: become friendly with that burning! Light up a fire of love in thy soul, burn thought and expression entirely (away)! O Moses, they that know the conventions are one sort, they whose souls and spirits burn are of another sort. To lovers there is a burning (which consumes them) at every moment: tax and tithe are not (imposed) on a ruined village." Note: 'Ruined village' means one who has died in love before he dies.

"My beingness is impregnated with its own original, pure presence." How is that and how does it happen? What is a first approximation or simple outline of what is going on in and with Reality? One suggestion is that Reality as the infinite unmanifest has the potential to manifest. So what is manifestation? One model that has been suggested is that it is like the creative imagination of God. Consider this quote from the book Addresses p20 by Bulent Rauf: "There are other snippets of knowledge that have come down to us, such that "there is no such thing which can really be called a creation", since this word assumes that something 'was not' and then suddenly 'it was', and made to come about. Ibn 'Arabi is adamant on this point: there can be no creation ex nihilo, he affirms. Why then do we refer to creation of man or creation in general or even talk of a creature or creation? Can it be that what we call 'creation' or 'creature' is just another dimension of the 'uncreated'? Can it be that the 'uncreated' looked at from another, a relative point of view, 'appears', only appears, to be 'created' due to relative vision? What then causes this relativity, in which we find ourselves, and our vision, perspective and comprehension of what we see to be so different, so veiled from the reality of things?" One way to approach this is to say that the creative imagination of God imagines itself to be embodied. Here we can say the creative imagination of God is a "knowing substance yet undifferentiated". What we see as a baby is a separate body yet from a non-relative or unitive vision we can say the body with the five outer senses is only the appearance of the one knowing substance or the set up that allows the self limitation of God for the natural self disclosure of God in manifestation of what otherwise would remain unmanifest (bear with me for there are no well established words for this). Just as a suggestion to bring this more into view. We can say that the "knowing substance" aka creative imagination of God or what we can call 'the soul' that appears to us as a 'baby' in its interaction with its caregiver and the environment implicitly learns "I am 'in here' in this separate body and mother is 'out there' in that separate body. Note that at first the body itself is environment because the knowing substance up until this point knows nothing at all about the concepts we ordinarily call time and space. Developing impressions from the outer senses allows 'subtle structures' that give us the perception of apparent separation. All is 'out there' because I implicitly don't find anything 'in here' with me. Here we might say that the One divides itself via relative vision that gives the appearance of two. The subject vs object way of knowing is a template built up impression by impression in around the first few or 18 months of life. Almass says the essence has two main characteristics: It can know and it can identify. Here when we consider the situation of that which appears as born, we see 'it' at first only knows partially and so it necessarily identifies itself with being inside the body. Yet all the while the reality is that the body is inside "the knowing substance". But it is only later in life that there is the possibility that 'it' can come to awaken to and identify with the sense of the Oneness or Unity or "the all that is".

I’ve had a body of light come out of me after asking a man if I was the chosen one being guided by a force pushing me in my intuition telling me to hug him and I did the body of light come out of me and then he was a demon I said you’re a demon he said yeah.
