- Ramy talks about moving to Brooklyn after living in LA for ten years, loving Italian people, his parents being in the audience, shooting some of his show “Ramy” on Hulu, meeting Yehya outside of a restaurant and giving him his number, casting Yehya in his show and that not going very well, and we go live to Yehya in Egypt to break the news about not making it into the episode of Ramy’s show.

I went to school with him he is genuinely so nice. Proud of him.
This guy is the real deal, immensely talented writer and director, the show has a similar auteuristic vibe to Atlanta but in my opinion it’s far superior and he doesn’t get nearly the same recognition in terms of popularity.
The episode centred on Ramy’s mother and the one about his uncle are elite TV.
Story arc for Ramy’s character in Season 2 is just brilliant writing.
Definitely one of the best TV shows of the past 5 years.

Whoever lives between the Italians and the Egyptians will be impressed by the similarity of the two peoples in culture, customs and even the shape of the buildings and the bonding of the family, but the conditions are different, one in Europe and the other in Africa
Many Christian in Egypt, Alexandria the Great half brother Tholomy ruled Egypt for many decades, the most famous of this Macedonian was Cleopatra. So Egypt cuisine has some Greek influence

No idea who this guy is. I was in Egypt for a month in September 2021. There are no rules when crossing the streets, people crossed whenever they wish while looking at their phones. Cars were honking non stop, so I only spent 3 hours in Cairo and moved on to the rest of Egypt. The Sinai peninsula is more peaceful, the shops or street vendors did not stocked tourist
as an Egyptian living in Cairo, Cairo's traffic is seriously horrible, like you can't drive nor even walk, that's why i prefer staying at home😂

Why beardless?
No offense to Egyptians and Ramy but I noticed a serious issue within many Arabs living in the Arab world and abroad and that is this deep seated inferiority complex to Westerners and Europeans. Egyptians call it "Auqda Khawaga". Ramy is trying to win the hearts and minds of the American audience by commending Itallians and trying to show a similarity with them all while trying to paint Egyptians as the same. Most Italians and Europeans will never do the same with Arabs or Egyptians. This is classic portrayal of this inferiority complex. Many Arabs suffer from it and if they want people to respect them and their culture, this is not only going to not help but exacerbate the problem. Why respect a people who do not even respect themselves???
