@@TheRedman790 that was literally ONE LINE from a whole song that was ACTUALLY about the type of men who have no class, no ambition in life, and those who prefer to rely the good will or assets of others to front, but still expect you to put out for them. THATS who they were referencing in the song. You should perhaps listen to the whole thing and understand the gist before making silly accusations!

I was in my 30's when this song came out. I had already went through the teenage insecurities. I was VERY curvy for a teenager. That 36 24 38 measurements, hour glass shape. I was called fat by even my father. I came out of my teenage years thinking I was so ugly. In my 20, I had kids and my body changed. I started to accept my body and all my imperfections all after I was trying on clothes with my son in the dressing room (5 years old). Every time I put something on he would say, oh mommy u look so beautiful. As long as you are beautiful to yourself (and the ones that MATTER, live you beauty.... Don't let anyone shame you.

In those teen years, you are so impressionable, especially when it you hear from a parent that you need to lose weight. My father was an alcoholic and he really never filtered anything that he said. God rest his soul.
My son is now 27 & is still such a mama's boy. He didn't have control over that bc when he was born, he automatically knew who I was. The nurses & even the pediatrician were amazed at how he cried when he was away from me but as soon as he heard my voice again, he stopped crying. Lol. They couldn't keep him in the nursery. He lives states away now(an Army man). I got to meet his girlfriend about a month ago. He picked a young lady who acts a lot like me. She & I are in contact more than he & I are. Lol.

    Just came across your channel.
Watched Believe by Cher performed by Adam Lambert. He is remarkable to say the least.
I loved your reaction to Unpretty.
    It was dead on.
No one can make you feel bad unless you allow them to do so. It takes courage and determination to build that self confidence.
You can be the most beautiful woman in the world but, time marches on and takes it's toll.
    Good job.

Absolutely relevant still with social media, but to also have the self confidence to not change yourself for some partner.
Would you cover *Lauryn Hill’s the Ex Factor* please Jay? 🌟

This song came out in 1992. This song resonates to me so much!!!! The part where they sing about a man making them feel "Unpretty" .I had a boyfriend for 7 years. First part was good. But it changed. I suffered loss of a baby and had gained weight during that time. I saw his true colors yet I stayed. He did not care about the baby we lost. He left me alone in the hospital to go to a bar with his friends. Because of the weight gain he would call me Tubby....often in front of friends. He killed my self confidence. He insulted me all the time. I am happy to say that I did leave him, and after time I regained my confidence. I have an amazing boyfriend now who loves me no matter what.

There’s another video for Unpretty which has a graphic scene of the breast reduction, T-boz gets bullied by a group of men and it includes a rap by Left eye.

T-boz had an incredible voice 👏 few female artists have that incredible husky crackly voice range. They were incredible, how these wonderfully talented girls were broke is shameful. The music industry screwed them over big time.

When your self esteem isn't low Nobody can give you low self esteem. Most girls or women with no self esteem issues can tell when a man is try to make them feel different about themselves, they usually dump that guy.
