Love your dry humor! You made my day with this one - I have never heard anyone pronounce Chipotle the way you did. I was LMAO!! I'm not a fan of that place, so that was hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That sucked that DD crashed on you especially at the most inconvenient moment, thank goodness the customer was understanding. Looking forward to watching your past videos. 👍
I got a 20$ tip on a sushi order for like 2 miles and this was like 2 years ago. This doesn't happen alot. But when you hit that complete button and see that big of a tip you don't know how to react. The order was ready when I got there and and top of that it was a stack order with a pizza order and the guy left me a 5 dollar cash tip. This will only happen like 1% of orders....I got super lucky
Had a Arby’s order a couple days ago on EBT, 4 plus miles leave at door. Paid $7 plus with a $4 tip. When I delivered the customer hobbled to the door on crutches to get the order. I offered to bring inside or help if I could and said be careful and take care of yourself. Before I got out of the housing plan there was a $15 tip added to the order. Sometimes you never know, some of the tips on EBT are the least expected.
$30 - McDonald’s - 2 miles. 10 piece nugget. Literally right after our huge storm in Nebraska. 100 mph winds. Took out over 200k people power. I was llke…. Whaaa “hand to me” all he said was “man, thanks for doing what you do… having no power sucks”
What's funny is I'm still required to take pictures of pizza bag every time. Been in LOP since may 2023. Used to get 4-5 a week. Now I'm lucky to see 1 a month.
Had something strange happen today. Had an offer on my screen, $9.50+ total will be higher. Accepted. As I'm driving to the restaurant, I notice it only shows $8.25 at the top-right for "this offer." And I remember saying, "wow, nine-fifty plus, 3 miles, heck yeah". Anyways, I delivered the order and it went from 8.25 to 9.50. It's the only time I've ever seen the offer window show the final total first. Or! The final total should have been 10.75 and DD is screwing with me.
Hell, I wouldn't put it past DoorDash to send me a $9.50- MINUS offer, lol. "Your total was less than the amount originally shown because we don't like you"
The problem with requiring a catering bag to accept an order is that they might not have an available dasher with one. That leaves them having to give the order to someone without a catering bag. That doesn’t mean that those with a catering bag won’t be given priority for large orders
The gps on Doordash changed today. She has a new voice, and the time to delivery is larger. It also tells you the whole address including postal code (Canadian zip code) , city, province and country. Seriously annoying!!
My brother witnessed an accident involving a smart car, those things are surprisingly durable. He said the smart car had no damage. The other car? Yeah not so much lol.
Biggest tip on smallest order. Customer ordered some pancakes from ihop, 80 dollar tip. I got the same customer 2 days later red lobster 200 dollar tip
I'm sure a lot of people are really excited thinking they are in the large order program now, what doordash isn't telling most people is that they're not sending clowns with customer ratings below 4.98 to pick up $100+ of food. They're trying to keep those type of customer's not lose them.
I guess i just got "grandfathered" in. Ive been dashing for years and ive been getting the catering orders since day 1. It blows my mind how some of yall dont get them. Youre a great dasher, there should be no reason you dont get them. I get at least 1 every single day and have been for years. I got 3 yesterday
@cavejohnson4054 why would catering orders be bad lol. Sign up. Don't expect to get nonstop catering orders. You might get one a day, or one a week, or maybe more than one a day, you never know. 99 percent of catering orders are well worth it. You can get anywhere from 20 up to a couple hundred. Ppl can still no tip on a catering order. If the pay is 8 dollars exactly or less then there is no tip.
$20 on a Uber order taking it only .09 tenths of a mile....The slow down is in my market as well, that's why I triple app all the time in my market. Of course in my market 50,000 iu students return at the end of this week...yaa Drunk hungry Iu students
The use of properly insulated bags should be mandatory for all dashers. This would set Doordash apart from the rest of the companies. Unfortunately, you are correct -- they have no standards. I cannot tell you how many times customers have thanked me for using proper hot/cold bags while simultaneously complaining about how many times they have received cold food from other dashers who don't use them. Doordash makes available high-quality bags on its website along with free shipping. I own 2 of the Doordash delivery bags and the Doordash bike bag. Indeed, I use these bags more often than the Doordash catering bag for large orders due to their superior insulating qualities. Both are completely waterproof and have heavy-duty zippers and an exterior shell that is tough and easy to clean. The insulation on these is excellent and I always include them in the pictures I take when I leave orders at the door. (This alone has resulted in countless extra tips added by the customers after closing out the orders.) While the tote bags have their place, they are not insulated and are generally inappropriate for most food orders.
I've never used any type of bag in over 20k deliveries and my rating has never been below 4.95. It usually hovers at 4.99 or 5.00. You're worried about the wrong things. Deliver the food in a timely manner, follow customer notes, and you're good to go.
@cjosephmandolin6341 I'm one of the top delivery drivers in the country you'll ever meet. My ratings are always perfect, my relationship with merchants and customers are perfect, everything is smooth sailing for me. I've been doing this way before pretty much all of you I don't need some random weirdo on the internet to tell me how to do my job lol. My numbers speak for themselves
I think a lot of folks here go to the coast or mountains on the weekends in the summer. It's usually a dry warm summer every year so everyone gets out from the rain that is the other 9 months.
It's comforting to know that as long as people can afford to door dash their lunch across the damn street then the economy isn't as bad as we are being made to believe it is cause trust me when this country IS ACTUALLY in a depression....there won't be any door dashing going on on at all...think about that. But good to know DD is out there sucking up every last penny it can get before TSHTF.
We had a tropical storm come through yesterday with 40 to 50 mph wind gust and torrential downpours doordash 0 promotional pay😂😂😂😂😂 do you think I went out and drove in that
3 bottles booze, $37. I saw Bigfoot Keychain! Sitting at Airport waiting to go home to FL.. Uber has me locked out 2.5 weeks now. Only way to move forward, scheduled Video Call for 15th.
Hey Charlie & "Hiiii Brash!" (Yup Heather's here to work on her penmanship. lol) So it appears you were on Level 1 of Live Action Frogger Edition, cos you didn't have stop & weave between cars. 😜 New Heather Schedule - I'll have her on weekends (Fri-Mon morning) cos I'm farther away now. 45 mins compared to 15 mins. Her weekends will be Mon & Tues. So no lives for her unless her Dad lets her get a YT acct. She's very upset about that. Just wanted warn ya in case she were to comment under a new YT user name.
Anytime my app crashes I go into airplane mode for a few seconds, then back online and it usually resets it. Hey Charlie, on that tee-shirt you are wearing in the video, is that Bigfoot Tyrus from FOX News? It sure looks like him! Tyrus is AMAZING!
No you don't. There are brand new drivers out here grabbing up large orders. Doordash is blowing it. I know, I've spoken to the merchants. They're not pleased.
Has doordash ever taken away an order that u delivered over 10 miles and ur around 2 mins from the drop off? Then u get an order, accept it and less than a min later on the way it disappears. U call doordash up and get told that u the driver unassigned them. Later that day it happens again and the next day it happens again but only once. When this happened I was platinum but my completion rate was 95% only because they say they sent orders that u didn't accept but never saw them come through which knocks u out of platinum and doordash says that they can't do anything about it and to cycle through 100 deliveries to get ur rate back up. Has this happened to anyone else or just me?
Yelling at the goats all for a pun........ that was so bbbaaaadddddd....... Sorry couldn't help it. My unicorn high time was also McDonalds. 2.3 miles 2 sausage mcmuffins a hash brown and orange juice. Tip was $22.00. For what ever reason the base pay was $4.25 with no peak pay or anything.
McDonald's is having you tell them you arrived now and then they make your order vs making it and putting it up on counter. It went from my favorite place to pick up from to declining. Reason being is McDonald's is notoriously ignoring the front counter at the drive-thru heavy places.
Anyone being able to take catering orders? Now tells me that there are not enough people to do the catering order. It was the same thing with the pizza bag being required and still getting large pizza orders without it. But it still says pizza back.Required ! What.
I delivered a single quarter pounder to an apartment and got like an $8 tip. I figured she really wanted that burger. The easiest (and nicest) tip I ever got was a Spark order this past Monday. The tip in the app was $10. They had a semi-smallish order, which he and his son wanted to unload for me. I think I brought one bag to the porch. The dad then turned around and gave me another $25 cash. I was gobsmacked. $35 tip on an order I didn't really even have to unload. And then there is today, I lost a $63 single Spark shop, 5 miles, $32 tip to a "system glitch." Way to pat me on the head one day and then smack me around the next. lol (This is here in Washington.)
Oh yeah doordash is going to go down the tubes. They're making all the wrong decisions. Everybody get started on your other platforms if you haven't already. This isn't going to go well.

The gps on Doordash changed today. She has a new voice, and the time to delivery is larger. It also tells you the whole address including postal code (Canadian zip code) , city, province and country. Seriously annoying!!
Yes annoying and I hate her voice
You know every time you dropping it off at the door they're watching you through the peephole😂
😂 i always wanna go up to the peephole like Jim Carey in the cable guy lol
Friday and Saturdays are the best days for me to dash I'm about 3 hours north of you in Washington

Lolol wow
Dunkin Donuts - 1 Iced drink delivered to my local Amazon Warehouse (about 2.5 miles) - $15 dollar tip..lol
Dang 😮
Largest tip I've ever gotten was from a large order. 158.00 tip!
Biggest tip on smallest order. Customer ordered some pancakes from ihop, 80 dollar tip. I got the same customer 2 days later red lobster 200 dollar tip

40 dollar tip for buying and delivering a stapler at 2am
😮😮
Super generous McDonald's order. Yeah I've had a $10 tip on one bowl from chipotle. Or $20 from two subs at Jersey Mike's

I am sure smart cars are also less expensive than a casket
There’s a guy here that orders a biscuit and a hash brown from McDonald’s once a week. Always has a $10 tip on the order. He’s less than a mile away.

$20 for a Wendy’s frosty and fries 🍟 around Thanksgiving- generous ripper
You have to be Platinum to get the large orders. Also I noticed, not an 8$ base pay either, just a 2$ for Large Order - cater. No pic required
