Sad this was the last show of Donny & Marie, but watching them every week as a teen, and still watching these shows today, as they were clean cut, family oriented, and great singers! I still love all the covers of songs they sung and it's quite a lot, because they vocally could sing anything. Whether they sung solo, or together, or a duet with one of their celebrity guests, they amazed me. I still enjoy watching them and will be a forever fan!

This was the last episode on Friday January 19, 1979 of the Donny & Marie show on ABC it was the last variety show for Donny & Marie because all the shows on ABC was cancelled like the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Mysteries, Welcome Back Kotter, What's Happening!! Starsky & Hutch, Carter Country, Operation Petticoat and many others too!!! All the best best memories of prime time shows thanks so much for posting this video!!!! I love it!!!! I love the 70s!!! I remember watching this final show and then watching the first family show. I didn’t continue on. I didn’t even really Season 4 with the disco floor and all the dancing. They were so out of breath doing the routines. I preferred erred the first 3 seasons and the ice scaring. Corny but comforting. I’m now 55. Where did the time go?

Dirk Benedict pulled off comedy, and a singing number with Marie. Impressive coming off Battlestar Galáctica but before the A-Team. Talented guy and this is worth watching to see that and understand his icon status today on the Comicon circuit. Classic Paul Lynde. Marie finally babed out. The show ended on a good note, not a disaster like the D&M Star Wars episode!
I read to why marie was so skinny for a long time during the shows. It seem the producer told her she was way too "fat" and must go on diet. Both D&M sacrifised their youth n freedom to make this brand of show, a success!

Yes she did in 1980 and her show was cancelled after only one season in 1981!!!!!
