  • Turn up the volume to listen to 4 different beavers chewing on branches. This video combines four different videos of beavers that I filmed chewing on branches. I love listening to the nibbling sounds as they go about eating the bark and cambium layer. #wildlifephotography #beavers #beaver

A day doesn't go by that I don't tell tourists here at the State Park I visit weekly, about your channel and how you show how beavers eat the bark off branches.
it is incredibly visually super show and tell helpful, all your videos.
Tourists love to have the beaver cut sticks that drift down the river, end up in debris piles along the river, and I collect them and hand them out to tourists as mementoes of their visit to the beautiful river here at Ohiopyle State Park.
Beaver teeth marks at both ends of the cut sticks, stripped of bark and sometimes very visible teeth marks along the shaft of the stick, makes the beaver trash memorable fun keeper sticks.
It took me years of wondering who was whittling all these sticks that collect in the debris piles with these whittling marks on them.
Your videos answer the question. It's not the Cub Scouts whittling sticks, it's the beavers.

I'm curious, Mr. Mike. Where do these beavers live? Is their lodge nearby? Is there a tributary that feeds into this huge river that go to?

The beaver family I follow has a large bank lodge right in the middle of their territory. Their territory is about a mile long, so some of my videos are relatively close to the lodge, but sometimes are as much as half a mile away from the lodge. There’s no tributary near where these beavers live so they spend all their time in or near this river, which is called the South Saskatchewan River
