- Torture is an appalling attack on the dignity of every single victim. Torture is still widely practised but not necessarily visible. Torture, never the less, haunts its victims for life. Denmark fights for a world without torture and engage in efforts to rehabilitate victims. It is a longstanding human rights priority of Denmark and a focus of our candidature for the UN Human Rights Council (2019-2021).
