Funny story I returned to UK many
many years ago and got a job in London and this little pip squeak wanted me to call him sir. I said unless you’ve been to the palace and been knighted not happening. He said you’ve been in Australia too long. I said to right mate.
Tell Sam we love her in the videos. I love hearing her perspectives on life in Australia as I know it was always your dream to move and Sam just went along with it. It's very helpful for me to hear her take, what she loves, what she misses about UK. Especially because my wife is still so against moving there. Great video mate
My wife and i are going to uk and central europe in24,she came out as a 10pound pom and has never been back.
ROSS, I'm letting you know that I want to see Sam and the girls in more videos.
Am very much looking forward to seeing "Sam returns home to Australia, her thoughts about she feels now".
Sam, I hope you and the girls have an awesome trip, filled with lots of love, laughter and great times" 🥰
@roslynjonsson2383, I also vote for that.
@@ppm4eva Cheers
I would love to see more of Sam’s view of settling in to the Aussie lifestyle, it gives a women’s viewpoint. I would love to see the children’s reaction to London sights & sounds. Have a great trip everyone and Happy Christmas 👏👏
Chiming in from Perth. Just caught up with my daughter now married with 2 kids in their own home in Woodvale. One of Her best friend's in high school migrated here with her older sister & parents who owned a nice 2 story home in Iluka walking distanced to the beach. Their parents got homesick and sold up & moved them all back to the UK some 8yrs ago.
Now both daughters are back here for good with the older sister now married with 2 young kids and they are all living in Jindalee next to the beach and absolutely loving it being back & this time for good.
Their parents are going to sell up again in the UK soon and also move back here for good to retire. The 2 story house the parnets sold in Iluka to go back to the UK has now more than doubled in price since they left.
It was not a wise move going back to the UK and the kids regreted having to go back after loving their life when they went thru high school here and made many lifetime friends.
Once you settle in to life here (which is basically paradise) and you adjust to our laid back lifestyle of warm weather & mild winters your blood thins as your body adjusts and you find it extremely hard to go back and live in a cold wet climate.
My wife is from Penzance in Cornwell UK and came here some 25yrs ago to live in Perth & marry me and she cannot stand the cold weather anymore and considers our lifestyle as blessed and we locals just take it for granted as we grew up in it.
We worked hard and have a nice house & all the toys (4wd, caravan, camping gear, classic cars, live near the beach & raised our kids in this outdoors lifestyle and they now don't know any different & love all the outdoors activeties with a passion especially anything beach focused)
Well would U go live in UK f short period s 2-3 y n return
Would definitely love to see a debrief video on Sam's return.
Yes, more of Sam please! Love the banter between the two of you. Hope the trip has gone well.
Back in the early 70s I married into a European (Austrian, to be precise) family, and my parents-in-law still referred to Austria as `back home', and still did when I left the marriage around 15 years later. Having said that, they owned a house here, and my MIL created a beautiful garden, which she tended with love. They always said that they never regretted moving to Australia. As I look back on it now, the term, `back home' referred to where their lives began, and was not an indictment on the life they have so successfully made in Oz.
Love Sam being in the videos! Can’t wait to hear her experiences of being back in the UK!
Ross will love it alone for 6 weeks as it'll be summer and he can walk around the house starkers with a beer in his hand. 😅
Every Australian mans right of passage😂😂😂
@@dianaperry1929that’s not what’s going to happen if he loves his family.
yeh i want that vid (without the nakedness thanks)….
@@dianacasey6002brought back down to earth with a huge bump of fun.
@@lutontown5923 Sorry what do you mean?
Sam, just be yourself and think about it as more having a conversation with Ross rather than 'filming' something. We met you on screen when you arrived, we've watch Aurora grow, and your family grow. We already know you, so just be yourself. Have a great time away with the girls!
Will be really interesting to know what Sam misses about Australia while she’s away, AND later, what she really liked about returning to her life in Brisbane.
It would be good to see a follow up - How Sam feels being back home & what things have changed in the 3 years - if anything...Don't worry about Ross. He's going to party 😅😅
Ross - remember Long Service Leave - once you have been in your job 10 years you get 8.66 weeks paid plus your annual holidays - nice to go back for that long. Though we have done trips and once you said hi to everyone been really glad to get back on the plane to OZ
Put the girls in their pyjamas so they know it’s bed time and it’s time to sleep. My sister flew around the world with up too 3 children and that was her trick. Jammies mean sleep!
Hi Ross it was 11 years before we went back. Our children would say if we have all those relatives why haven’t we met them. They loved it so did we.Having said that we have been back many times. The family has got older and many have passed on.The novelty wears off then .If we had face time in the early days I don’t think we would have gone back so often.I hope your wife and children have a great time catching up with family and friends.
Lynette r you f UK
@@williamhicks612 We came here in 1972 from uk .Newport South Wales.
Great video, always good to see Sam in them too :) hope this message adds to her confidence! Looking forward to seeing how the journey was and what it was like coming back to Aus
Love to see more of you and the girls. Have a great trip home and looking forward to hear about your adventures when you get back HOME to Australia. I came here 50 years ago and took me at least 4 years to settled. I went back "Home" to visit and never got home sick again. Enjoy your trip Sam and looking forward to see you on video again.
Love seeing your wife in a video again I hope we get some UK video of the trip back home.
Great video can’t wait to hear what Sam thought!! I LOVE YOU BEING IN THE VIDOES SAM!!! We are going through the visa process at the minute! Take care guys
We love all of you in the videos. Enjoy your holiday and stay safe.
I really like these kind of videos from you. Just a calm sit down and chatting of you two with some chill music in the background. Really enjoyed it!
Glad you like them Anastasia!
Sam, you are doing a great job in front of the camera, and it is great to hear your perspective. I came to Australia many years ago as a ten pound Pom and this is home , but many people came over and liked it but the family pull was way too strong and returned to England so I fully understand why you say “Aussie”, isn’t quite home for you yet. 😅
Thanks for the vids. These have been really insightful. I'm considering a potential move in a few years. Would you be able to do a video with your observations on the differences between Aus and Uk education systems?
Dear Sam, I love when you share your thoughts and ideas in the videos. It's good to see both of you, when sometimes you have a different perspective on things to Ross. Keep up the good work and have a safe and happy trip 'home'. I'll be interested to hear if you get homesick for Australia while in the UK. Lots of love to all, Annie.
A really nice and honest video. Well done guys.
Great video guys. Hope your trio goes well Sam ❤
I don't know if they are back from the UK because I think you have had this video up before I hope they have had a great time there
It's great having Sam in the videos, of course. It's good hearing her perspective on things,.
Would love to see Sam and the girls filming on your trip really enjoy you're channel merry Christmas to you all
I love seeing and hearing from Sam!
Yes the price of flights is so exspencive , especially when its a family travelling,
Happy holidays , enjoy your trip home 😊🙏
Join in Sam, always love seeing you.
You do great Sam, come join the fun!!
Best wishes for the trip Sam, take loads of vids for Ross to edit into a travelogue!
Love seeing Sam on the clips! Love her perspective 🥰
Glad you enjoyed!
Definitely love seeing Sam in the videos….hope to see more in the future .❤
I think it is fantastic when Sam is in the video 👍👍 more of it..
We will definitely need a follow up of how it all went after Xmas or even if Sam could film some of the holiday herself 😢..
Keep up the great content guys as we luv to watch.
Love seeing you and especially Sam in your videos. Will be interesting to see her videos of when she and the children fly over to the UK and of when they fly back to Australia.
Hope you have packed for the UK 's cold weather,i am sure that will be an experience for the children.Where is Sam and the family staying while in the UK?If you don't mind me asking.
Wishing you all a safe flight and a really merry Christmas.Would love to see more of Sam in your videos, she is brilliant. When does she fly?
Definitively wanna see you more Sam, i wish you a good trip and family time :)
Personally, i can't wait to come back to Australia in March as i call Brisbane HOME since 2016 even tho i m still living in France :/
Singh's at Narangba near the railway station do great curries...well they used to but go to Ravneels Curry House at Burpengary and get the special Ravneels butter chicken...it is YUM
Ross my son was only 4 the first time we went back.He still talks about it he remembers things about that trip that I can’t remember
There are good curry places in Brisbane (Indian and Thai) but they all tend to be CBD or inner urban. Look close to universities for authenticity and value as they cater for foreign students. The closest to you that gets a good mention is Sankalp in Aspley.
Of course we want to see Sam more! And how else will she build her confidence in front of the camera! ❤
pack for the cold and good luck with trip.... also be prepared to go from 0 deg to 30 deg on return
How excieting your going back too see family in the u.u.kthat is going to be a fab catch up and it would.be wounderful to see what happens on your journey throuvh your eyes and opinion . Do it sam you will be amazingand interesting. Been out here on perth 2 yrs. Hoping to go back in Aug. But its so expensive.
Even if your behind the camera and showing the girls and family on what your up to and the comparisons . I.e ques, expenses, different experience you will be great. Looking forward to it.x.
I don't know about getting Euro in Paris after exiting the Eurostar, but when it arrived in Kings Cross Station in London I had no £ / GBP. The atm was some distance from the immigration office and security is tight so you can't leave your suitcases at the top of the stairs. So I would suggest having enough of both currencies to move smoothly between England and France and back. Btw the Eurostar was 190 euro one way in 2013. I caught a bus boat bus combo to Amsterdam for £45 departing at 9 pm from Victoria Station. Much cheaper than Eurostar. And Victoria station had great fish and chips from a shop just outside. Enjoy.
Not long ago my wife had to go to perth for a family emergency it was very strange not being with my wife for 6 weeks but I managed with all the platforms nowadays its not bad staying in contact like you Ross I've lived in various countries back in the day when it was an airmail letter that was it so much easier now sam you should be in the videos then people get to see both sides keep up the good work 👍
My daughter remembers almost nothing from our overseas trip when she was 4.
If you have nieces or nephews, try some musk sticks on them. Just make sure you have a video recorder ready!
We want to see you in video.. please film 🎥 a bit when your over there 😄
I’ve been in Australia for 40 years having left when I was 21. I go back to Scotland every 2 years as all my family still live there. I married an Aussie and have 3 children. 3 years isn’t long enough to make a decision yet. Appreciate the differences and develop a few deep friendships- we are very lucky to be able to experience both countries . Love to see more of Sam for a different perspective
Cheers Karen, she will be on a lot more in 2024
Great video guy’s, and yes I enjoy it when Sam joins you Ross so hopefully we will see more video’s of the two of you 😊
Great to have more Sam, Gives a female/Mum perspective for my wife, now we are here even more so.
Thanks for the comment
Safe travels but just remember how huge Dubai airport is and how challenging it can be getting from one end to the other even without kids. Be firm in asking for assistance with the transfer.
I would like Sam to be in the videos (when she wants to be included ❤) because I like knowing her perspective and feelings of things at the time.👍
Well I hope you're not moving back permanently
ps,... the sound is really low on the vid
Of course we want more of sam. I think if u did a cpl vids over there with ur perspective would be entertaining.
23:03 YES!!! I love having to hear another pov from someone else other than Ross haha (no offence Ross!) 😭
Ross what did it feel like with sam n girls gone ...thats excellent video chat you n sam on her return
Hated it. Felt so quiet
It is hard travelling over on your own without your partner, luckily I came over to OZ with my eldest daughter, but sorting out somewhere to live in a different country was tough
Av U returned t UK
@williamhicks612 not yet we will do in the coming months to sort things out
One of my favourite UA-cam sites. Visited London, Bath, Salisbury Cathedral a few years ago. Watch UK real estate shows.
They don't say 'real estate agents'. That's American English and we copied them, similar to saying truck instead of lorry. They just say 'estate agents'.
My mother did not call Australia home until her last trip. The country she remembered was not what it was .
Ditto my mother-in-law. She came back early and immediately applied for Oz citizenship! 😀
Got to experience it to believe it
I would love to see Sam in more videos
Yes; more of Sam and the fam 🐨
Hope to see more of Sam in the videos. Have a safe and happy trip cant wait to hear all about it. Lets do a Poll, Who wants to see Sam in more videos?! 😁🥰
Are you going to do a video on how Sam and the children got on in the UK? Did they want to stay? Is life in Australia still preferable to UK?
YES, more Sam oh, and don't forget those two lovely young ladies . Please.
Yes we like both of you 🙂👍
What do you teach, Ross?
You give Maths or History vibes (only because my Maths & History teachers were the coolest!)
English
I have been here 50yrs but Hadleigh is where my heart is.
Why so Belinda were is Hadleigh
Good authentic Indian curry is Ravneels curry house Burpengary.
I’ve done this twice I will say this I miss England the most . I hope you have a nice trip but next time leave until May cheaper flights also the weather will be better.
Crack out the 30 pack of Milton Mango tins. It's time for a few weeks of bachelor life!
Rod do u n sam want t stay in Australia or return t live in UK later say 5--10 y time
keep her in she's entertaining , nice lady
Sleep well Ross!
Thanks mate
How does it work taking kids out of school compared to the uk in terms time?
In QLD it seems to be a lot easier, especially for primary school
Taking stubbie holders to the UK is like taking pocket warmers to Cairns. And too much Sam is never enough - she too is a natural.
Mate, catch up for a drink if you want
So Ross is having a pool party then!?
Hello and good morning
I graduated from Syria from Tishreen University, Faculty of Physical Education, since 2009. I worked as a government employee in my country from 2005 until 2023, and I worked for the last three years as a government employee in the firefighter department for three years, from 2020 until 2023, as a sports coach for firefighters. I would like to travel and work. In Australia, note that I exercise regularly and play boxing as a hobby. Which authority responsible for the equivalency and assessment my degree in Australia and what authority responsible for the equivalency ans assessment My job experience in Australia, and what are the jobs that I can apply for to travel to Australia, and what are the visas that I can apply for . I am married and have two children, and what is the name of my bachelor's degree in Australia, and what are the jobs that I can apply for in Australia? Should I need two applications for the equivalency and assessment my university certificate and job experience, or one equivalency for both enough ? What is the cost of equivalency of the degree and job experience? And Actually that I would like to apply for a job in the police in Australia, what do you advise me? Thank you In advance.
Sam you will find much of the UK gone to the dregs...you will miss Queensland
Why leave??????. Queensland is heaven on earth
UK right now is not great. It’s in a downward trajectory and there’s no sign of recovery. I would stay there for now mate
More Sam and less Ross 😉
Sounds like a better idea
Yes safe trip ex pom ❤
😂🤣
Of course we want to see you in the clips, your opinion matters.I hope your family comes to see you where you are residing,my family always seem to say when are you coming to see us grrrr.lol
Australian schools have 6 weeks summer break now so why can’t you go go back to the UK now with the rest of the family
They just explained that. The difference between $4,000.00 and $12,000,00.
Because it will cost them 3 times as much to travel during the holidays!
I call bull shit on the cost thing, he clearly stated I’m a teacher I can’t leave my job, when he has 6 weeks paid leave starting next week. You either save and wait to go together or your family comes to you. A quick trip to Paris with the children to go to Euro Disney would cover his flight!!!
@@beekind5704yes , she is very lucky indeed .
12 grand uk or AUD??
It has to be in Aud
"My dad will pay" 💰😂
Rug up you will be cold bbrrhh.
I like you Sam, I would love to see you more on camera.

Very sad, they have not bothered to reply to even one comment, or even to like one single comment.........sad because I really liked this, but obviously they are only in it for tube cash :(
whinging pommy..
The best part about going back to the UK is coming back to OZ.
Australia is nice but the amazing beautiful Uk is way better hands down It's only the weather 💯♥️💫🇬🇧🏴🇨🇦🇺🇸🇪🇺🇯🇲
We want Sam, We want Sam.
Sure thing Dicky
