- After a few weeks working at an Amazon distribution center as a warehouse team member, I called it quits. Here’s a list of reasons why I would not recommend the job… to anyone!

Girls work full time at Amazon and don't cry as much as this
Because they don’t know any better 😂
They don’t get the hard job they pick me pick they wanted me to do 330 a hour for 9 hours that some bs I load 500 box’s in FedEx in 4 hours FedEx way better than gay Amazon
I hate working at an Amazon warehouse. It's hell. A lot of people have walked out.
Yup lots of turnover in mine as well
I was a contracted driver for roughly three years. Bounced around from company to company because they frequently and without warning get terminated by Amazon itself. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
good get the weak useless people out of here... Amazon could get just as much done without half of the losers.
Nice video! I liked and subscribed! Keep up the good work 😀
probably going to try part time first and then see how it is before full time the full time will help with decent pay. I've done warehouse work before mainly stocking and restocking for retail stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, worked for a local electronics stores before so I had to lift like tvs, stereos, audio equipment.
Working at amazon is really much stress free than many warehouses and have more potential career advancement
I havent watched your videos in a while (catching up) but I just completed my application for part time at Amazon and got my orientation. My cousin kind of persuaded me. It’s 2-4 hours of a workout and that’s what I plan to make it be. I’m vaccinated but COVID fear you mentioned is kind of concerning. Anyways, why Jacksonville? I happen to work near the Amazon warehouse already so wondering if that would have impacted your decision if it were closer. Nice to see you staying safe.
Thanks for the insight of going through the experience from getting hired to quitting.
When I saw the title of your initial video about going to work at an Amazon FC I thought: "Uh oh!" Have heard so many horror stories and the turnover is insane. Amazon is a bit of an evil coporation IMO - especially with the tornado tragedy in MO last and all the COVID breakouts being swept under the rug.
I recall you saying you knew about all of this prior to accepting the position. This means you're complaining about yourself accepting the job. it would make much more sense to complain about certain tasks becoming reality within a position that were not previously known would be part of the job or possibly a side job of the actual position.
Amazon is easy job. I worked at a real job and the pay is good but the amount of stress are unbearable. Amazon is more chilled and relaxed. The long hours make up the same amount of pay that I make. Literally stress free!!
No offense but I saw this coming, people comply about wear and tear on their cars doing gig work but that’s nothing to wear and tear on your body doing these warehouse jobs trust me I know…… Great video 🙏🏿💪🏿👍🏿
None taken you’re right about that, your body is way too important to mess up for a low paying job
Realest comment 💯
i just bought a car that has already lost all its value ...and as long as you know how to fix and maintain the car you only have gas and up keep...so if you drive 500 miles a week you should be making a few hundred after taxes, gas and up keep imo...plus no boss, set your own hours..
You are absolutely right! Once you worked for one warehouse, you worked for all of them!! They are all ran the same!!
yawn...
I met a female last year at the UPS PVD gig and she quit her job at Amazon for the same reason stating that they had a covid breakout in the warehouse and Amazon just kept it business as usual
Good for her not worth the risk!
Ups does the same thing
Wells its not like wear and tear 😢 on your own personal vehicle is any better.. especially if all you own is one 🚗
Cause it's fake!
I'm setting here about the complete the application for the Pecan Park warehouse location, wanted to see where you were in your Amazon Journey first though. Thanks for saving me the trouble. Frankly you lasted longer than I figured you would in that environment. I think I'll just keep doing independent work, screw these slave driving corporate jobs.
agree with the points you have mentioned. in addition they see employees as number and no recognition for the hard work you do.
that's why amazon having hi turnover
Yea great point everything is graded and you are just a single data point
Amazon LOVES metrics. None of which really make any sense. But. Time on Task is the one that applies to warehouse drones I think. For delivery drones, we were expected to successfully deliver 25-30 packages per hour.
Yikes that’s a lot of deliveries
I work for amazon warehouse for 6 and half years it really depends what type of warehouse your working for. Some warehouse are more busy than others.
Honestly just sounds like you went in with a bad attitude they are doin a 4000$ sign on bonus and 21$ an hour...like come on. My car isn't running very well amd winter storms on the way I'd much rather be inside workin
How are you liking Jacksonville. Lived here most of my life. I worked at Walmart during night shift. Its hell for a lot of people to work graveyard shift. Got plenty of sleep during day but had zero energy. I lasted in that position for 2 months....and said FORGET IT! Not worth it. I have sinced expanded into some gigwork, online work and work Walmart during the day....what a relief.
Been nice, enjoying the ocean quite a bit. Yup certainly not worth it!
The main reason to not work for Amazon is that you are sacrificing your mental and physical health. Full time at an FC is designed to get a couple good years out of a person, then dump the carcass so a fresh one can be put in place. It's not brutally hard work, but it is repetitive stress motions for long shifts with frequent mandatory overtime. All while you're being tracked and having your bathroom breaks timed like a prisoner. Picking at an AR/robotics FC is up and down a ladder all shift reaching and stretching for items at high speed. Shoulders, back, knee injuries and hernias are common. Packing is where you get carpal tunnel. Stowing and Inventory Count is where you get depressed and obese. A few people fanagle their way into indirect roles which makes it a more normal workable job, but that's only like 5% of the people there. If your brown-nosing game is strong you can take that angle. I did part time at a sort center for a while and that was OK, the work is more suitable for part time. The shifts were at odd times though and they screwed up other better income options so it wasn't worth it.
The people saying “it’s a cake walk”, never worked an office job or had a actual good job! Lol
Warehouse vs warehouse, seems like he has room to talk about being a cake walk if he’s done warehouse work already.
I’m staring. At Amazon very happy to. Good back to work
Quit wearhouse when i was 18. Best decision of my life.
I need to loose belly fat starting in next few days ! Is worth for me !
Me too, lol Going in the am for i-9 and drug test. Are you still there?
Nice video
UPS loading is worst
Can you tell me which gig you would do if you could only do one...? thanks
The title should have been “5 reasons why I don’t want to work as an Amazon team member.”
Do a Waitr or DD video next, the fans demand it.
Will see what I can do
My problem at Amazon is December You have to work the whole month without almost a day off
I need the coins. But they said you can’t work more then 6 days. Did that change?
@@kenya5581 No.
*How are you liking Duuuval bro?*
Warehouse work sucks.
So its wear and tear on your body at the warehouse vs wear and tear on your car gig work PICK YOUR POISON 🖤
My car I at 255xxx miles it can't take anymore
@@chukkelz4425 yeah I currently work for a dsp delivering packages using their company vehicle way better 😅
You can replace your vehicle, but not your body. Seems an easy choice
@@jasonsimpson1397 that is if you can afford to buy another car on minimum wage 🤣
@@jasonsimpson1397 you can definitely work on your body for free. Many people don’t have the luxury to get another car, which is why they’d rather work at Amazon or other warehouses.
I knew you would quit lol. Glad you did though
😅 thanks
Yeah we knew that wasn't going to work out.
It seems instacart is busy in Jacksonville. The economy is growing too fast. All the signs are there for a stock market crash when the fed raises rates.
Nice I’ll check that out. True it is heating up quite a bit!
Wharhouse for just 15 dollar an hour is bad, as i know working at warhouse is too hard, and should be 20 and more not 15, it involve a lot of weight lefting and so on, like you working on construction.
Just remember to keep your pee-bottle handy. Did you see any of those crying closets I mean Ama...zen things?
😂
What's next for you? Going to get into coding? Back to youtube?
More content for a while. Working on an app that connects people with mentors. Dabbling I’m e-commerce as well.
It's show your arm got big. Must been working hard at Amazon warehouse. Glad you quit. 🙂😁😎
Yeah we knew that wasn't going to work out.
😂
Am i alone on this channel
Lol maybe
Amazon isn't that bad bud then again my cardio is through the roof from military training so I guess
Agreed it’s not terrible I enjoy the cardio just have other plans for my career
@@Gignation best of puck to your endeavors partner
I only see it worth as part time
I work at amazon and I love it, at worse I work 40 hours 5 days a week. A set schedule. Most weeks I work 50 to 59 hours. If you work a 5 hour shift most likely. Your a terrible worker. And there probably tryna fire you
What position
Not sure about that. Here in NYC, they mostly hire part time. It's rare for them to offer full time.
Can u work part time? Like six hours per day?
4 only. Full time is 10 or 12 hrs maybe 8 but that's rare
@@donew1thita11 ok thank you! I'm looking for something part-time for about six hours! Four might not be enough money for me to drive there and back!
this is not a job for you as you have so many concerns. You should just find a W2 job and stick to it. Many of your videos you complain too much.
Distribution center jobs are the worst. I did Information technology for one. Those 10 hour shifts are no joke. This is a take from someone with a “coveted” job in one.
Management would often tell me that they thought of their employees as race horses and only cared about how fast they were. Really depressing place.
Just don’t do it.
The ups warehouse is much worse in my opinion only lasted two weeks . I would only do part time at Amazon if I was to apply .
your a cutie...
