A lot of people who haven't been around nor had lots of experience with older VETTES don't know/realize that these cars HAVE many different stances.low all around looks cool, heightened in the rear sloping forward looks cool also.BUT FROM MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH MINE,WHEN IT LOWERED ALL AROUND I HAD TO DRIVE IT LIKE A BABY MOST OF THE TIME SO THAT I DIDN'T HURT/SCRAPE IT'S (precious little bottom). NOW THAT I'VE HEIGHTENED THE REAR WITH IT SLOPING FORWARD,I HAVE NO PROBLEM DRIVING ANYWHERE I WANT.(AND) WHEN I STOMP IT FIRST GEAR WITH MY 700+HP. 427PUSHING IT, THE CAR LEVELS EVENLY FROM TORQUE.(REMEMBER!), LOWERED CARS LIKE THESE ARE FOR SMOOTH EVENLY PAVED LEVELED (banked when cornering) TRACKS.THIS IS THE STREETWORLD,YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT KIND OF ROAD YOU'RE GOING TO GO DOWN.BUMPS,DIPS,POTHOLES,MABY JUMP ACROSS A SINKHOLE.
Shoulder harness "a rare option." No, all Coupes from 68-up had the shoulder harnesses standard, now on the Convertible it remained an option through 1975.
