THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! finally someone that makes an updated how to ....AND includes the freebie download.....I have been looking for the 2nd part...forver! Everyone else is showing how to create a landing page BUT no one was showing the 2nd step...the automation email!
Very informative. I always learn from your videos! Where I am lost is who will use the landing page and how will they receive a link to it? I understand funnels and automation, but not how this connects with someone who is not already in your email database. Thank you.
Hi there! I'm glad the videos have been helpful. Thanks for your question. The landing page link should be shared out on social media, you can include the link in emails to your contacts, and you can add a link to it on your website. Anyone who completes the sign up form on the landing page will be added to your audience list. If an existing contact, using the same email address signs up using the landing page, their information will be updated.
Thank you so much for this video it was everything I needed .. I would like to know if you know what to do if my emails aren’t sending , what to do from there?
Hi there! Thanks for the question. I'd check four things - 1. Verify that the landing page is published. 2. Verify the tag associated with the landing page matches your automation/customer journey starting trigger. 3. Verify that the customer journey is published/live. 4. When you enter an email address into the form on the landing page, does the tag get added to the contact information? If a person already has the tag, the automation/customer journey won't fire.
Hi Larry, thank you for such a good video. I have a question for you. I am looking to send my leads a UA-cam video as the lead magnet. Where do I enter the URL for that so that when they click download, they are sent the URL by email?
Hi there! I'm glad the video was helpful in building your lead magnet. 👍 Once a person signs up from the landing page, use automation (Customer Journeys), with the trigger being the tag added from the Mailchimp landing page to send them the email with the link to the YT video.
Thanks for the reply@@LarrySnow . I have actually watched another one of your videos and I have embedded the YT video to the email they receive 🙌🙌. Almost finished my first landing page and customer journey. 😁
Thanks for the question. You can upload your lead magnet to Mailchimp, and link to it in the follow up email. The reason I usually opt for sending a contact off Mailchimp to download the file is that there are file size restrictions. mailchimp.com/help/share-files-with-contacts/
Hi thanks for this video. When I’m building the automated customer journey in Customer Journey Builder - then I click on Filter Who Can Enter, then Add Filter, but ‘tag’s’ don’t show up in the drop down menus. Any ideas why this might be?
HI. Thanks for this. But I get a pop up at the top stating that I need to upgrade to activate a Customer Journey. Also, got lost when you said "turn on automation". Where's that? Help! :(
Hi there! Thanks for the question. You'll can turn on GDPR options by going to your Audience Dashboard, clicking on Settings from the far right drop down list (desktop view). On the following page, scroll down and click the GDPR fields and settings link. On the next page, click the box next to the setting Enable GDPR fields on signup forms.
Do I have to upgrade my plan and pay for a customer journey? I'm not looking to spend a whole bunch of money off the bat, is there a way to create this without upgrading my plan?
Hi there, thanks for the question. Yes, in order to use a customer journey you'll need to upgrade to a paid marketing plan. However, you may still have access to the old "Classic" Automation choices using this link - us17.admin.mailchimp.com/customer-journey/#/create-campaign/explore/emailCampaign:custom. If it works 🤞 you can create a "one-off" automation email such as "email subscribers when they are tagged."

@shanerussellcoaching awesome! 👍
Thanks for sharing this information. What if I already have a lead magnet and just want to upload it to Mailchimp?

@@LarrySnow Thank you for such a quick response and further guidance.

Odd, the Tags option from the left filter menu is first item for me. Have you tried searching for the Tags filter?

Hi there! Thanks for the question. To run a customer journey, you'll need a paid marketing plan.
How can I add GDPR Option? I'm intrested in that video :) thank you!
