The 1.9 Wraith is what started my crawler journey as well. A buddy of mine got the orange one. At the time I was only into the 1/5th scale bashers and had no crawlers. He kept telling me about his crawler and I was like ehh I like bashing lol well then we went camping he brought his Wraith and I've been screwed since 😂😂. I'm frigging addicted to these damn crawlers now, think I've got 9 crawlers 🤣☠️🤦♂️
Cool vid on two fronts. I picked up an unfinished Wraith kit with upgrades around Christmas and threw it together as a scale build with a Fusion 1800 KV for power. Had my first long run with it over the weekend and love it. I did a similar conversion with my Deadbolt 10.2 and a free to me Capra cage. Just cut the frame rails past the link mounts, drilled two holes for the rear cage mount, added SOA and bolted it together. The rails are perfect thickness to make up the difference in skid width. It now looks way more scale to me than a stock Capra and works great.
Your story is literally almost the same as mine. Started with a night crawler, then moved to the Scx10 then a while after got out of the hobby. The difference is I came back and bought a basecamp/pro. Built those and now moving to a vanquish chassis. Never ends 😅
I love my Wraith 1.9. Okay performance after few upgrades. Great look.👍 Horizon should reboot the Wraith 1.9 or the body and do it in the 1/6 scale too. Wow.
I built my first crawler in 2005, before you could buy a crawler kit or rtr. Was a massive clod buster superclass CFNN chassis with extended links, 40 series wheels & moab tires, and custom cage I brazed together. Hobbytown USA in Dallas stole it from me when I worked there in 2007, along with many other vehicles I had. That was the end of the hobby for me, until about 3 years ago. I came across a rovan 5b gasser, and ran it a bit, then traded it for a trx4 and have built a few more trucks since.
Luv my 1.9 Wraith, switched the front to medal axle housing & sum brass, trx4 shocks w/ lossi mini shocks, medal links & some scale accessories. Thing is a great crawler & tons of fun to drive. Awesome video btw!
I wanted the OG Wraith back in the day. But by the time I actually bought my first crawler they were long gone. I like the idea of building one with the modern parts. Looks great!
It's crazy I too started with a Losi Nightcrawler 2.0 and then eventually got back in with a 1.9 Wraith. Now I'm addicted and have no intention on leaving the hobby. Wish I still had my Wraith
Hey Sydney, you know we're really here to see you, lol! The Wraith has always been one of my favorites (well, modified, at least). You pulled some really nice lines there, Logan, the Super Swampers are nice and grippy (broken in or not). I do love the Super Swampers (Interco Irok) from RC4WD, though. I find the X2SS compound breaks in quickly, is very grippy but is still durable. The stepped lugs are especially good at grabbing rocks!
I will cheat at bit to speed up break-in, though. A quick 10-15 minute run in a nearby lot (rougher, the better), usually does the trick. A bunch of turns, some quick starts and stops and good to go. Just saves me some time.
Nothing better than crawling with a dog and a Wraith. BP Customs makes a nice steel brace that ties the front end together and gives you a strong pan hard mount.
I picked up a basecamp kit and threw an injora jeep comanche hardbody with bed cage on it, just a 4.19 tire truck and I absolutely love how its performing!
I've got a 2.2 wraith spawn that i bought on a whim without doing any research. Now I'm determined to turn it into a capable crawler. All of the upgrades I've done so far have been for durability more than performance. So far it does a really good job except for steep climbs. So i gotta work on that.
I've been trying to get in touch with lit led on Facebook to order some lights. They haven't responded back to messenger or email. Are they out of business now?
I hope Axial/Horizon heard your request for a reboot of this rig. Still one of my favorites to mod and all around drive.
Cause that’s what axial does. Makes what ppl want. Or another crappy old dodge
I still have and wheel a stock 1.9 Wraith. Absolutely love it! @Axial please bring it back with upgrades!
Would love to see a bench overview of what you did to this conversion.
I agree it would be awesome to see the base camp conversion. I’d love to see if I could get it done to mine too.
Logan you totally inspired me to pick up a lightly used Wraith 1.9 locally. Never really gave them a second look before, but this looks great!
nice to see the Wraith 1.9 on the channel, my favourite crawler, i put capra axles on and made it hatchback. + a lot more. love the look of it.

Nice that sounds cool
I love the looks of it. There's not many body's that I like but this is definitely one.

RC's and guns, 2 of my favorite things.

I gave my 1.9 wrath to my nephew for christmas two years ago and have ever since regretted it I miss that truck

Nice! I just picked up 2.2 Wraith and 1.9 Capra 4ws last weekend, cant wait to take them out.
The changing environment must be pretty awesome to drive. Nice rig man!

Great video. I also enjoyed you guest hosting for Matt on the Wednesday night live stream. Keep up the great content.
Thanks!
A nice long video loaded with technical crawling. Love the content Logan!
Thanks

I bought my 1.9 wraith just before they discontinued them. It’s been a fun rig to have in my collection.

Not going to lie not going to beat around the bush I have picked up a lot of my skill from you Logan
Hell yeah logan! Always cool to see where things started
1.9 wraith ftw.
Great video! I have a blast with my wraiths still as well.

Looking buy my first top notch servo should I go reefs or shift options welcome from all and hopefully Logan gives input as well haha
I love mine! Mines has the element transmission and deadlock frames to make it c2 legal
Awesome rig man!
Logan, you should do a build break down video. I love my 1.9 wraith.
I can do that
I wish they would remake I need one
I also just got a 1.9 wraith. I have a built up wraith spawn too. Any recommendations on a 1.9 build?
Wish I could get my hands on a 1.9 wraith. Missed opportunity.
do you know if you can run a 3s 120c battery on the stock electronics?
If you ever go to sell it let me know. I miss my wraith and would like another one once again
I've been trying to get in touch with lit led on Facebook to order some lights. They haven't responded back to messenger or email. Are they out of business now?
Please, Axial wraith 2.2 or 1.9 Who is better and wy?
I'd buy a couple 1.9 Wraiths, if Axial brought it back.
i'm waiting the UC Fab chassi 🙂
Hey Logan does the affiliate link work if I log into my account?
Yes it should 👍
@@westdesertwheeler copy that good to know!
Absolutely love my wraith. Just needs a lot of weight in the front end. Has a fat ass. Wish they didn’t discontinue it though.
Id like to see you revisit the tf2 again.
Also love ya man
Aww,
Are u going blind bud?
What I can’t hear you?
