I did similar thing to this way, I even grew from cuttings, leftovers from spring onions did buy from supermarket, and only cut the greens for cooking and let them keep growing for the rest. You'd have green onions to eat forever 😁

Yes, it is not accurate. I day is too fast to grow that much spring onion leaves. It should be at least a week or more.

I use soil mixed with chicken manure. These plants do not like the sun, you put in the shade will grow better
