Doing a lot of easier problems helps with this. A test is to repeat a small number of warmup routes at the end of a high milage session and see how much better your rhythm/flow is (I have not watched the full video but will soon).
Absolutely, but only if you do it with intention. Many people just go through the motions on easy terrain. We also have to consider that harder terrain is often a pattern interrupt if you haven’t practiced the skills on terrain that’s more difficult.
BALANCE and adjusting the body to use it most efficiently is the most underrated element in climbing. If balance is off then the muscles have to work so much harder.
Not sure I consider balance as underrated. Maybe misunderstood, but I hear it discussed often. Not to mention, balance is made up of other elements. Position and tension while not moving, and then position, rhythm and commitment while moving.
Garnbret trains harder than everyone else. I guarantee it. Natural talent she possesses in abundance however as she said in a recent interview that she basically eats, sleeps, and climbs.
yeah OP made such a stupid comment. tons of climbers do basically exactly what she does and would even train harder without her success. Such flawed low brain mentality ppl have tbh

Lovee this video. Love the RTJ4 vinyl in background!
Every session I start on easy routes to warm up and try to make it as flowy and efficient as I can: almost like a pendulum dancing up the wall.
Good way to go, as long as you make sure to also practice those skills on difficult terrain!
Thanks so much for the breath insights

Oh, I thought for sure she basically rested herself into being the best
She may indeed, but this doesn’t really have anything to do with whether she does or doesn’t.
I doubt that's true. Maybe more effectively but probably not harder than everyone else.
“I missed the point”
