What a gorgeous airplane. Beechcraft is such a great product. They've made some wonderful airplanes over the years. And lots of guts taking it into S16! LOL I had to laugh at the beginning of your vid. As the owner of a 1946 C140, I was thinking, "Um, you see all those taildraggers there... You know, the ones that weigh half what you do, have their CG aft of the Mains instead of forward of it, and those nice big non-retractable tires! Of course you're stuck!!" LOL Good job getting out though!
Love the community of flyers! Everyone is helping each other and only wants to make sure everyone is safe. This was a great video. Where is this beach?
Been waiting for this one. Very nice! I enjoyed seeing the shots of the Tacoma Tide Flats and Narrows Bridges, both right in my back yard. Nice to have all that help getting unstuck on the beach. Just took my wife up this morning for the first time in the Luscombe. Smallest plane she'd ever been in. Smooth air and great sightseeing around Tacoma. I think she might be willing to go up again with me sometime. :)
Haha! Thanks Jay! I hope you didn't miss the Luscombe taking off at 0:25 So grateful there were plenty of helpful folks at the beach that day! Congratulations on bringing your wife with you in the Luscombe! Important milestone! So many great places to explore where you live!
@@VTalesAviation Good grief! I've never seen myself flying before so I didn't recognize myself! What a beautiful takeoff that was! Haha! My confusion was because, since you just recently posted this video, I was thinking that must've been more recent footage (which is ridiculous since you left there a while ago), and there is another Luscombe based at that airport, and it just never occurred to me that you would've shot video of me. Very cool! (and that 185 must've been the one that passed off my left wing inbound as I was outbound)
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for posting it. It was edited so superbly with some great guest appearances of features along the route. Lively banter in the cockpit as well. Just an all-around great video. Bucket list is to land on the beach up there in the C205 from 5S4. I’m guessing you did rinse with fresh water.
If it makes you feel better my father, who was a USAF transport pilot (primarily C-119s) then airline pilot and owned a number of single engine GA aircraft got stuck on a beach once. His mistake was turning into the wind using brakes (his only option with a tail dragger) and one of the mains dug in. (Edit: I commented before watching the whole video so I heard your comment regarding braking which was obviously valid based on my father’s experience. )
Such a great video ! Do you mind if I repost some clips to my instagram @visuallyinfinite ? The account currently has 16.8k followers, and i think your videos will do great on there ! I give full credits : )

What an adventure. Great community. From Georgia, but originally from the SeaTac area. Subscribed.

First time watching. I searched for copalis videos and this popped up. I’ll be careful when I go. Thanks! Great video!
Thanks for watching! Stay away from the dark and the light sand, go in the middle and you'll be fine!

@@VTalesAviation It didn't register that it was a Luscombe. Was it the one parked there that I took a photo of? I guess he's based there.
@@jayphilipwilliams i'm confused now! I'm pretty sure that is you! :-) ...or am I missing something?

My father in law has serial #12. #9 and #18 are in museums. Pretty cool plane
Great video and what an experience!! Curious what lens you are using on the Lumix?

Thanks Jacob, I'm glad you liked it! I did rinse after landing but also read several posts from guys who say they don't and that it doesn't matter.
Beautiful shots. Bad Eagle on rock ledge at 8:01
well spotted!! :)
A Bonanza pilot...enough said....
YEP !!!!!!!!!
I don’t think I would be willing to land a doctor killer on a beach. Lol
Flaps on takeoff?
Affirmative
Airport movie.
He should have known better.
