- Conor McGregor is still looking for a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov, despite Khabib retiring after his last fight. During the UFC 257 media session this week, Conor said quote, 'The world knows this fight is not over. This war is not over. The sport needs it to happen; the people need it to happen.' Khabib, of course, defeated Conor by submission in October of 2018 when they first fought. Hear what Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe have to say about McGregor's chances of fighting Khabib after his match with Dustin Poirier.

Khabib does need to man up and fight him again. I’m a hardcore fan, like these casuals don’t realize you can’t just beat the biggest superstar and prolly the second best fighter in the division rn after he’s been partying and boxing with Floyd and then scurry off by fighting other fighters only to quit right before he gets back to try to reclaim whats his. Big fight fan, not khabib or Conor fan. Although I respect Conor a lot more cause he entertains, handles losses like a man, and is true old-school fighter

Conor’s a brown belt in jiu jitsu, has really underrated wrestling (took down and held Holloway on a torn ACL even though it was young Max, swept Nate Diaz who’s a black belt in jiu jitsu and nasty on the ground, stuffed takedowns from Mendes, Alvarez and Khabib). Khabib is just too good for anyone to stop and I don’t think Conor does any better in a rematch, but don’t say Conor’s not well-rounded, he’s a specialist on the feet the same way Khabib is on the ground, they don’t need to use attributes that aren’t required of them.
I normally love Shannon but man he needs to research and learn more about fighting and the ppl in the sport. This take was terrible saying Conor is one dimensional
The thing is yes Connor is well rounded but khabib is just to strong of a wrestler to stop and way to good at making people waste they’re energy if Connor wants to beat khabib he needs to be able to work from his back and build his stamina so he’ll be able to last the full 5 rounds because if he doesn’t get tired I’d say it’d be a pretty close fight
To the average eye Conor lacks ground game and he does things smart on the ground but nothing too technically sound
