Hi Johanne, I may have figured out where the issue some people had with this pattern, I followed the foundation row about 10x before restarting again and adding another 8 stitches ( I’m just doing a single repeat of the pattern for a sample) because I was only able to get 3 fans to the right of the pineapple bottom and then only 2 to the left if I skipped 8 stitches between every fan as well as between the fan and the pineapple bottom so I think there may have been a number error because once I crocheted 48+3 for the foundation chain row I was able to get three fans each side of the pineapple bottom with the spacing you were asking for underneath each bridge.
Where has this video been all my life? I love the pineapple pattern but didn't feel confident enough to attempt it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! ♥
This video is wonderful, she is showing all the stitches that are being used. Those that did not understand please find a book that shows the stitches or google it and you will learn. This video is wonderful. Thank you.
Aunt Johanne , I enjoyed your tutorial. I want to learn new things and give very nice handmade gifts to my family and friends. Thank you, and I will be looking forward for more of your tutorials.
the design n your your way of teaching is fabulous but the problem is the same color of the thread and the below surface.. it becomes hard to focus on stiches just because of that.. otherwise very fantastic work..Excellent
I didn't get the first row ..I looked at it several of time but still didn't get it . I tried to look at it too but could not see it clearly ...how many dubble crochet dose the fan contains? And how many in the betweens ??
I hope you can read english, cause I cant write spanish : ) I would love to do a pattern for a full skirt, but it might take a while : ) alright, lets try it with google translate: Espero que se puede leer Inglés , porque no puedo escribir en español : ) Me gustaría crear un patrón para una falda en piñas, pero tomar tiempo : ) tal vez en un par de semanas.
+Aunt Johanne Thank you very much I will be waiting for your video. I hope you can explain a little slower. Congratulations for your good work and I send you a hug. Greetings from Cali, Colombia.
it doesn't take a lot of thread. If you are referring to a baby blanket, I would say 2 or 3 (150 grams or so) for an adult sized, it would be much much more. I would probably buy 300 grams (about 8 skeins). But that would a lot of work! The blanket I made with it has a knitted base and pineapple lace on the sides, it weighs 300 grams (that's like a sweater). Hope it helps : )
+Losaline Hanney I am really sorry to hear that! On a pineapple bottom you skip the bridge that leads there (this is a ch 3 space) then you *ch 3, 1 sc in the next ch3space* until you get to the other side. Here you will again skip the bridge. I know it is confusing, because both are ch 3 spaces, but perhaps just look at it as -skip the first and last ch 3 space? You don't need to count stitches once you get going. I hope this helps : )
it may have helped a little if you had pointed to the parts of your work and told us " this is the bridge" ect.. talking us through it while showing a graph is not really the same as you showing how to do it and what the parts are called.
I tried so hard to follow you, but it so unclear and makes no sense. I can't see where your hands actually are and where you are actually stitching into. I would love to crochet this, but I do not understand what you are describing.
I’m sure this would have been a great tutorial if the work had been VISIBLE. Please use a yarn, not a thread, and a color that contrasts with your table. Thanks.
So I find myself in okay Crochere but for some reason I did not understand a word you were saying and I do not know how to read patterns like you are presenting on top of the screen it would be best if your camera was showing what your hands we're doing so we could understand what you are saying. Not a very good video is far as I'm concerned.
@laura copp i understood everything she said very clearly. I found her diagram at the top very helpful as well, you may want to learn how to read diagram patterns, its pretty easy i learned it as a child and can be very helpful to cross international communications.

I am so glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for watching : D
Too far away and in shadow. Too fast. Beautiful. I wish I could see.
I am sorry :/ I hope you find another tutorial which shows the stitch better.
Yes too fast. I wish also I can make this design
There is a pattern on her description box you could look at

Thank you for your kind words, I will take this into account in the future :)
What do you mean by "actual crochet thread" what did you use b4 hand?
yarn. I never knew there was a difference, but there is :)
I didn't get the first row ..I looked at it several of time but still didn't get it . I tried to look at it too but could not see it clearly ...how many dubble crochet dose the fan contains? And how many in the betweens ??
I think this is what you are looking for: (2 dc, ch2, 2dc, ch3) in the same stitch, skip 8 and repeat. Does that help?
@@johannenagel7056 Thank you
Can you show us how to make a blanket with this stitch?
Sure, but don't you think it would be very lacy and not all that warm and cosy? I mean, there are so many holes in this : )
Deseo una falda en piñas por favor , puede dar el paso a paso? Muchísimas gracias

Thank you so much, and of course I will explain slower
How many skeins of thread would you need for a standard size blanket?

This is a confusing pattern. How many chain is skipped between the fans and pineapple bottoms?

I will definitely keep that in mind for future videos : )
what size needle did you use?
I am not sure, but it is on the smaller side - it looks like one of my 2 mm : )
Cute sweater! Where did you get it!?
Thanks! I can't remember actually, it's really old, sorry : (
Mønsteret du har lagt ut får jeg ikke til å stemme - må være feil?
Uha det er jeg ked af, det kan sagtens være du har ret i der er fejl i det : (

Ok, it's not my best work. Maybe you can see this better: ua-cam.com/video/Rnh0CkRxyXs/v-deo.html ?

this is the most confusing video i have ever watched.
I am sorry it was confusing for you. I hope you can find another video to learn the pattern from.
