Can be used without googles. Use a good smartphone in VR box. I learned to fly FPV with analog using Skydroid and use even now (before I will switch to open IPC)
@stelic9515 how is it ? I was wondering how this would perform as I have a s23 ultra which should work ok I think just the phone goggles are a minefield with so many to choose from
the use of google codes for positions instead of coordinates, it's fun. Why did you choose this method ? The project has move so far from the beggining, congrats and thanks from the community to your work!
Hi Mario, I was wondering if it was possible to fly at night, well yes, then in London the tower bridge, congratulations, too beautiful. What kind of quad did you use ?
Any other fpv system would have lost completely link and blacked out the screen. OpenIPC managed to fly with small glitches in one of the most urban environments in the world. Watch the video again to see what are my future updates to eliminate those glitches. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@mariofpv hahaha sorry mate. That's my fault for skipping ahead while at work lol. How do you think this camera compares to the imx415? Low light performance looks good on this
The imx335 has better low light performance and as you can see it’s fine for night flight. However, the imx415 is not suitable for low light conditions.
@mariofpv thanks for the response. Now I need a night flyer too! Haha Testing first flight in a couple days with the wifilink in my plane. I'll post up a video when I'm done. Wish me luck 😄
That’s correct. However, I need to upgrade my VRX setup and use two or maybe three WiFi modules, with four or six antennas, just like the DJI goggles do. This upgrade will eliminate any glitches and improve the latency. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@@mariofpv Ha ha, people round here non stop complain about traffic and talk about it being gridlocked (it isn't), I'm constantly telling people they have no idea what heavy traffic really is! The one and only good thing about where I live is speed cameras, they got rid of them all in 2010 and the police round here are non existent, I can rag my car without fear of being done :)
Any other FPV system would have lost the link completely. The RF noise in such urban areas is the best stress test to confirm the stability. OpenIPC is the only FPV system that passed the test with small glitches. I explained more details in the video so watch it again for more information. Cheers mate!😊🍻
can't wait for some manufacturer to make googles for this system, this is great
Coming soon. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@@mariofpv omg now I'm in a predicament as I was just about to pull the trigger on dji3😢

Great low light performance 👍👍👍
Thank you for all the support!😊🙏
@@mariofpv We should do much more for your great efforts 👍
Amazing Mario. What a wonderful flight with your friendly spotter at your side. Great stuff.
Thank you my friend!
I miss you all in Cambridge!😊❤️
Fiiirrrrre, a new era of hd has come !!
Cheers mate!😊🍻

I used g-code coordinates to have less text OSD and more video view. INAV has awesome OSD widgets. Cheers mate!😊🍻
Really nice flight in low light conditions.
What type of antenna do you use?
I used a regular dipole 5.8GHz antenna. Cheers mate!😊🍻
Nice flight! Great low light footage
The OpenIPC Mario camera (imx335) has impressive low light performance. Cheers mate!😊🍻
it struggles with 50Hz lights ?
Yes because the 60fps is more than 50Hz, that’s why you see the flickering of the light. It makes sense. Cheers mate!😊🍻
Oh man... The Angel pub, let me know next time ou are around!!! 😂Love this!!
We should organise an OpenIPC gathering to fly all together! Open source community for ever! Cheers mate!😊🍻
Hi Mario, I was wondering if it was possible to fly at night, well yes, then in London the tower bridge, congratulations, too beautiful. What kind of quad did you use ?
I used a sub250 grams drone with an OpenIPC Mario AIO. More details are in the video description. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@@mariofpv Ok, thank you 4S
Impressive Picture Quality.
Cheers mate!😊🍻
I wasn’t aware there was an area free from flight restrictions in London, nicely found and flown.
Yes, there is one small spot that it’s out of the NFZ in London. Cheers mate!😊🍻
There's a bit of stuttering around 1:30. Is that just youtube or is that an issue with openIPC?
Any other fpv system would have lost completely link and blacked out the screen. OpenIPC managed to fly with small glitches in one of the most urban environments in the world. Watch the video again to see what are my future updates to eliminate those glitches. Cheers mate!😊🍻
The future is bright 🎉
Cheers mate!😊🍻
thats so great, keep the good work
Cheers mate!😊🍻
very beautiful flight man
Cheers mate!😊🍻
Wonderful❤
Cheers mate!😊🍻
How to draw OSD on the left up corner "CPU/FPS/Temp"?
Download the latest configurator. Then go to Telemetry tab. Then click Add EXTRA MSPOSD button. Cheers mate!😊🍻
Nice! Was this at 1080p 60? What biteate did you use?
Everything is in the video in the first 10 seconds. Button right corner. Cheers mate!😊🍻

😎🥳Amazing and you only used 1 wifi card, very impressive!🥳😎
I need to upgrade to multiple WiFi adapters asap! Cheers mate!😊🍻
Great flight. So vivid and juicy for a night video.
I am soo excited about
open ipc.
I understand that the most viable option atm for a vrx is radxa?
That’s correct. However, I need to upgrade my VRX setup and use two or maybe three WiFi modules, with four or six antennas, just like the DJI goggles do. This upgrade will eliminate any glitches and improve the latency. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@@mariofpv Looking forad to see testing footage of yours with that setup. Thanks alot for all your work
don't CAA consider anything above 500m as BVLOS anymore?
As long as it’s LOS it’s allowed. My spotter was able to see the UAV at all time clearly. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@@mariofpvyes big strobe LEDs make it easier to see at night than during the day I’ve found ;)
I already have one lightweight LED panel. I think I’ll add it. Cheers mate!😊🍻
Love your videos, could you show us this build in a video?
Sure, stay tuned. Cheers mate!😊🍻
So amazing.....!

@@mariofpv next time building dive !
Hi, Would you be open to a discussion around OpenIPC and future implementation? I have an interesting project on the horizon.
That depends on the proposal you would have. Please contact me on MarioFPV@outlook.com
Cheers mate!😊🍻
Hi, mario, can you share the best setings for low light imx 415?
Please use the latest configurator to install the latest sensor bin files. Thank you for your support!😊🙏
wow! :D
Cheers mate!😊🍻
Miss London so much, this made me mega home sick!
Next time you come to London send a message to go fly together. Cheers mate!😊🍻
