  • Have you ever wanted to quit your job, but worried if you’d be able to make ends meet? What if you could actually make more money outside of the traditional 9-5 job? These 3 millennials are doing just that - enjoying their new six-figure salaries well outside of the corporate offices from which they started.
Meet Alex Fasulo, a freelance writer on Fiverr who makes $378,000 a year. She primarily ghostwrites e-books and blog posts remotely from Florida. Before becoming a freelancer, Alex worked in PR and made $36,000 a year.
Michael Oh is a private chef from Atlanta, Georgia. After being laid off from his corporate job during the pandemic, he decided to pursue his passion of cooking full-time. He now does around 4 parties per week and makes up to $14,000 per month.
Alexandra Botez is a professional Twitch streamer who makes six figures playing chess online. She and her sister Andrea Botez have over 1 million followers and are signed with Team Envy, a global esports and entertainment company.

F that manager. That’s a horrible thing to do. I’m willing to bet that person is miserable so they enjoy putting others down. Keep your head up and know that things will get better. There’s a phrase or a saying that I always remember when things are getting stressful. “This too shall pass.” Don’t know who said it or where it came from or if I’m even quoting it right but I use it to remember that no matter how hard it is right at this moment it won’t last forever. “This too shall pass.”

To everyone: Please don't take this as a call to quit your job to pursue something different. Understand that these people are very good at what they have quit their jobs to pursue. Understand that your health and mental health matters, but not as much as perhaps putting food on the table for your families or even feeding yourself. Stick with it, and slowly let go. I hope that this video helps to inspire you, bu please, don't make any rash decisions, drop cold turkey, and leave a relatively "stable" job for something that may make you worse off in the future. Thanks for reading this, have a good day/night.

Entrepreneurship is not as glamorous or cool as people believe. It is for very disciplined people who are willing to work harder and longer for freedom.
I left my very stressful banking job to drive Uber while building a media company. I work longer hours but I really enjoy the freedom.

    • @larsstougaard7097

    • @fabriceizzo2922
      @fabriceizzo2922 2 роки тому +17

@@larsstougaard7097 True. That's when discipline and hard work comes into play.
Let me put it this way: Entrepreneurs would rather work 16 hours a day 6 days a week doing what they love than working 8 hours a day 5 days a week doing what they hate for the same income. It seems irrational but it is not for everybody. In entrepreneurship the rewards comes years later (or never) that is why your 1st motivator as an entrepreneur should never be money but the journey.
Also, you have to have the discipline to work alone and be careful with your money because no one will push you and there is no benefit.

I think the irony of this statement is flying right over OP's head. Truly, 'freedom' is in the eye of the beholder. They enjoy "freedom" of working long hours with more financial insecurity at the whim of a tech giant notorious for no safety nets and large structural exploitation.
You traded one version of neo-slavery for another!🤣

The pandemic forced ppl to “figure it out”. The government didn’t expect that which caused a shortage of labor because why would someone go back to a low paying job that treats them like trash when they can make the same about independently?
Yeah, there is no “going back go normal”…. America needs to normalize paying ppl a livable wage and treating employees with well.

    • @SoundScientist1

@Mary. Paying Americans a respectable "living wage" may not happen for a LONG TIME...
      ONE FACTOR...
I suspect that there will (inevitably) be more waves of central/south americans illegally crossing the USA-Mexico border & settling in various states where they've established a presence.
(They've already "flooded" some communities around Washington, DC. The corrupt local & county governments turn a "blind eye" because they know employers can hire them at bargain basement LOW wages to do construction & service sector jobs - powering the regional economies on cheap illegal labor). American corruption at its finest... 🤷🏾‍♂️

Writing a book in 2 days sounds impossible but ghostwriters use 2-3 writers at a time for one book, plus editors. A group of friends can easily do this, but said friends have to know where to go, and who to convince towards buying their services. It's the same for all types of arts, music, fine arts, fashion. Who do you know? How can you make them like you enough? There's your money!

I am a Gen Xer, that has birthed millennials, eagerly opened to learning and growing. I definitely take the lessons learned here, bet on myself and forge a new path forward. I worked in Corporate America, made 6 figures, working my way up, completely miserable. As fate would have it, I lost my job but was released from tying my life's work into a thankless, less fulfilling job. Fortunately I don't tie my self worth in titles, but I did go through a period of mourning, cause I worked so hard to get to that position and it ended in a less than amicable 'divorce', but freedom to pursue something meaningful and lucrative. Love this content! So inspired how this generation is rewriting the narrative and forging their own way forward, really embracing what makes them so passionate at life and not relying on work at a major company limit their growth and opportunity. This is awesome! Thanks

Not saying this isn’t possible, but don’t paint a false narrative of millennials skirting over to 6 figure gigs on writing copy. 🤔 As well her mom tossed 20k on a home with her and her sister pitched in. @somebodyintheworld5036 Рік тому

Lol, if you're poor and you take financial risks, you'll end up homeless if it doesn't work out. Then you'll be labelled as lazy, unmotivated, and a welfare queen. You probably also have some amount of debt from taking out loans to start your business so if you haven't yet gone into bankruptcy, you'll be hounded for the money you owe by debt collectors. If you ever get to explain how you ended up in this spot, you'll be criticized for having no business sense and being horribly irresponsible for taking such an obviously unjustifiably risky bet given your economic situation at that time. You should've stayed in your safe job, built up a larger emergency fund, and then continue working while you spin up your side business, working 80 hour weeks until you can finally quit your day job. /s

Men post financials all the time on social media and they are admired for the mostly. It sounds like the negativity towards a successful woman posting financials is mostly all from men. Does this not paint a very clear picture? Is it fragile male egos? Is it about power and control? I’m so glad she’s continuing to move full speed forward.

look males are viewed by many as providers. if males are continually being outearned by females than you kiss the male provider role good bye which has been happening for decades already. male roles in society are being downplayed and marginalized. for the men that built civilization as we know it its rather disheartening.

Being your own Boss takes so much work, discipline and sacrifice. I'm now own my company but it took a good 10 years to build it. You need another source of income or support because while building your start up business it can't pay the bills. Also Entrepreneurship needs capital. If you don't have capital you have to hustle. It is not glamorous.
