Hey buddy. I have a legit question. My grandparents passed away and their head stones are getting dirty and I want to clean them like new. What chemicals do you use to clean the grime and crud off? I'm asking bc I don't want to use something that's harmful to grass and works great. Keep up the good work
I recently went with my aunt to clean the stones of my grandmothers family. We used a mix about 50/50 of water and vinegar. It worked really well, we brought brushes and used that mixture and for us we had great results. I am sure there are many other options but that is a simple mix that worked for us.
Don't use anything other than D/2 biological solution, anything acidic will destroy it over a period of time so don't put vinegar, bleach and definitely not power washers. I have a stone in my local cemetery where they tried to clean it with brick acid, the stone is now burned brown and slowly disintegrating.
