Thanks for watching and sorry for the audio level issues. One of my cameras has a wind block and works pretty well. I used the other one for a few windy shots and then failed to double check audio levels before uploading.
Me too! Surprised it took me this long. And it definitely turned into an adventure after the spice level went up from the lack of water, feed, headlamp, plus that evening creek crossing to top it off. Good show, mountain!
I’ve been a huge fan and I also follow this group on facebook. I love that the mountains you feature are my local mountains as well. Congratulations. Is there anyway you can make a video about your preparations for big hikes, specially with those that have altitude? Any daily work out routine? Thanks
Thanks for this comment. I actually intended to do a video/ blog about this for several years but never got to it. I think I even have the scrip partially written. Let me wrap my head around this some more in the next couple of weeks.
Haha thanks, but I had two cliff bars on the way up to Gorgonio. I meant to bring a bag of granola, but it got left in the car. Thats why the food rationing ended up happening.
Here it is: caltopo.com/m/R1R7L Just be careful, some of the cross country stuff from Charlton Peak down to Dollar Lake saddle was steep and ultimately unnecessary. I'm almost 100% positive you can find a use trail that takes you back down to the main trail by heading southwest from the summit.
Not if you want to complete the route! haha. I think I would just find a better way down. I just added an additional blue line for reference of what I assume would work better. @@cseckler
That exact route is on my bucket list, but I want to do it over 2 days and bring a bike in between Momyer and Vivian Creek trailhead. My big concern is car break-ins. Any issues with your vehicle? Oh, yes, I hate mylar balloons too! I always pick those things up.
The bike is always a fun addition on these routes. Did not observe glass on the ground or have any problems with breaking. The Momyer trail is not very secluded, so I can't imagine someone bresking into cars at that trailhead.
@@trvrsoutdoors Thanks. I volunteer at Black Mountain fire lookout tower near Idyllwild and get a great view of Old Grayback aka San Gorgonio Peak every time I visit. Last weekend, I still saw some snow on the southeast side but couldn’t tell how much is up there.

Criminally underrated channel
In due time.
Amazing! Mt Baldy and 10 peaks next!
Ugh. Dreading it. But maybe this fall.
@@trvrsoutdoors I don’t blame you but boy would that be epic! I’ll be eagerly waiting to watch your video! I know you can do it!
Thanks for getting that Balloon!
Its like a game at this point.
I've always wanted to do that. What an adventure man.

@@trvrsoutdoorsbut AllTrails says 25 miles 🤔 also they have the data wrong and short for iron Mt ☹️
Absolutely impressive! I've done something similar to this as a 3-day backpacking trip, but to do it in one day is madness. Great job!
Thank you! Glad I was in shape to do it in a day just to say I did, but spending the night under the stars is always the preferred method!
Wow, you are a hiking beast, congratulations
Aww, shucks!
great vid man. thats an insane long hike.
Thank you very much. It was an absolute slog, but worth every step.

That’s crazy man. 😮
It's a nice route and worth th effort. Makes me want to go back and explore more of the trail systems there. Thanks for watching!
Heck yes
All that on an apple and two spicy mangoes? I'm impressed!

Ya really, where’s the beer
@@ThatBinghamHikes lmao. At the end. Am I being held u to a standard already??? Because I will absolutely live up to it.
Probably should have done this in April
To much water in the creeks hard to traverse
I wonder what a winter ascent would be like with full gear. Easier? Harder? Guess we'll have to see next year.
I have done Anderson peak 20 miles and I think I can do this one I just need a friend to come with me 🤷♀️ great job done here lad 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Friends definitely help with the motivation!
my man. get those balloons no matter how far you need to travel.
YIKES 😬
Not too dangerous, just a loooong one. haha.
Any chance you have a GPX of the 9-peak challenge route?

AllTrails 🤷♀️ but 2 miles short
If I eat spice things during my hike for sure I’m going to be stuck for a while 💩
Haha
You the man bro! Let me know if i can join you one day😊✌️ @GhostHiker86

@@trvrsoutdoors What month did you go and how was the weather? You were wearing pants and there was still lots of snow. I was thinking June timeframe.
@@boyfester This was June 23rd, 2023, but we had a massive snow year in 2022. Right now, the majority of the mountain is clear of any snow.

@@boyfester wow that is surprising. If there is snow on the southeast side, there might be more to north. maybe fall then
