Toward the end, you mention lining up the stitch holes. Do you have inverse irons for opposing sides? If not, how do you mark both sides so that the pricking marks lay the same direction?
Great video! Only one thing that I would change in a length of your exterior part ( make it a tiny bit longer, like 1-1.5 cm, so then you will have more space in a cash pocket because your is nice but a little tight) but that's only my opinion ))
I always buy authentic LV and Gucci. After spending $300 to buy a high-quality bag at kislux , I found that I would never spend 9K to buy a certain brand of bag...the price increase is so ridiculous
your pricing is WAYYYY OFF. seriously. I have no clue how you come up with your figures, but they are not anywhere even close to actual figures in the real world. Lets be realistic here, you used around $125 in materials. a Himalayan Crocodile hide goes for between $250-350, but thats the whole hide. you only used a small portion of the hide, so you cant justify your overly exagerated price just from that. There is literally no earthly reasoning on the pricing you are claiming here. The wallet is very nice, of course it is because you always make really nice things, but it is a $250-300 wallet. that is the MOST that you could actually justify asking for this wallet. anything more than that is just price gouging and delusional.
Different products for different price points. Also factoring in the artist’s experience and quality of work. An $800 wallet is outside of my budget, but I respect and support the price and quality. It isn’t price gouging, he has other less expensive wallets for sale.
just to add on here. for the 800 dollar price, i would expect lined pockets and more attention to detail. Its not a bad wallet, but its also not an 800 dollar one.
price for a Himalayan crock can start from 250( for middle quality with some scars) and end near to a 1000$ ( off course quality is great). Just to be clear- 42 cm wide crock cost 820$ and you are able to make 4 wallets out of it. So that's 205$ in the crock + other leather ( Let's assume that its 50$) 255$ just in materials- and to be honest, I would make about the same price for my product...
@@KolosLeatherGoods using a 42cm for a wallet is a bit much. You can get top quality henglong skins for around 300 in a smaller size that is much better for wallets. Smaller scales, more gradient, etc... But yes, materials are expensive, and the end results should justify the price, too. Not just the materials. Edge paint needs to be spot on. Lines need to be straight. Folds need to be straight. I think thats the point the commenter was making. If I am paying 600 for a wallet that doesnt have value as a brand name wallet, i would hope it showed attention to detail.
Thank you but i have chosen to only make leather goods that come from ethical tactics, i.e. "NOT" obtaining them from people who breed them, then kill them for their skins to make outrageous profits. I have never heard of - Himalayan crocodile - so after you mentioned it, I looked up why they would be special. I found that Heremes is doing something horrifying to make all of their products 😢. Im in shock by what I saw. I will never spend my money on anyone or any company that i know is willingly causing animal harm. Making a "profit" isn't worth the pain caused to a living being. So, I am not sure if you are aware this is happening. But if you are aware and are choosing to do this anyway, thats unfortunate 😔. Billion dollar/Trillion dollar Companies like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes, DG, Coach, Timberland, etc... their greed is already destroying the world.
- Himalayan crocodile? Where did you get that?
- I found himalayan on the side of the road.
Ba dum tiss

That’s fair. This will comfortably hold 4-5 notes which is enough for most people’s these days but I get your point
Very nice! Might be nice to see a video on finding/marketing to high-end clients. Also, what is your cutting board made of?
Great suggestion!
Fantastic video Will!
Thank you
Looks awesome ❤
Thank you!
Gorgeous work ❤
Hello Will, Where might I purchase the scalpel like knife you use.

Doing a video on this next week. Stay tuned
@@WillHodges Thanks so much. Looking forward to the video
Beautiful piece. Love crocodile.
Me too!
@WillHodges I made ladies crocodile cuffs and wallets for Christmas gifts this year.
What kind of glue is the white glue? Gorgeous finished piece.
Fantastic wallet!
Thank you!
I make 100x riskier gambles. Your wallet is a great work of art bro! Great content!
Thank you
Feine Arbeit 😎
beautiful
gorgeous.
Who do you get to split down your leather for you?
A company in London, if you email me I can send over the details
Could I commission something like this with a green interior?
You can indeed. Send me an email on will.hodges91@gmail.com or Instagram @trevecambridge and I’d love to make one for you
Be so real with me here, why don’t you dye and burnish over paint?
Cus that just wouldn’t work. This is a very soft retanned leather that’s extremely hard if not impossible to burnish
Great job Will, it looks astonishing beautiful 💯
Thank you so much!

Why would you come here and type an entire diatribe about your virtues?
