Dear friend, why you eat the Sambar or daal or any meat .., because of their smell, taste, texture, ..... if we remove milky smell of mutton or beef, how it will taste like just simple rubbery taste, why don't you do as fish preparation to other non veg recipes, dear friend I eat fishes because of their smell that's why some fishes are costlier than mutton, no need to remove their smell or else you don't know how to consume fishes, yes you have to thorough wash( except) when fish is rotten not in fresh fish.

Fish is authentic dish in Bengali cuisine... For any type of fish curry except vapa ( Steam) it's necessary to fry for 1-2 min at least before putting in grevy though the method of making grevy is overall same as we Bengalis do
