I can't agree more. I've had other 3d printers and to be honest they were kind of a pain to get tuned and working. I got the K1C, unboxed it, ran through the initial calibration, and printed several things without having to do any tinkering at all. It just freakin' worked. Best experience I've had so far. It's too bad it can't be this easy for someone just getting into 3d printing as they usually go for the cheaper ones to get their feet wet.
The door shatters, the extruder often jams, and the bed is level as a ski slope but other than that it's ok
Just got my K1C, didn't have a metal extruder. might want to double check yours

I ordered the KE last week and got it yesterday. Then I found out about this one, which fits me maybe way better. The box is still closed and am wondering if I will send it back to get this one. Although 3D printing is a bit new for me I am a tech teacher with lots of technical skills and almost 40 years experience years with computers. This printer will be used at home to develop lessons, art and science projects and lots of other stuff in and around our new 1930's house.And I have a curious toddler..
Should I stick with the KE or get this one?

Its Not an all metal they are plastic gears take it a part and see for yourself if your printing carbon fiber filament those plastic gear's wont hold up for long.
The part of the gears that actually come into contact with the plastic are metal. This is the way it is with just about every 3D printer capable of printing carbon fiber. Yes, they misspoke claiming it was an all-metal extender, but the parts that matter are metal.
Would you suggest the k1c or the flashforge 5m pro? They are the same price for me.

Are you using Orca slicer 1.9.1? / I dont see creality K1C on the printer selection / only K1 and K1 Max.
I am using orca slicer 1.9. 1.i just use the k1 profile it works fine.

I just bought the k1c device. I am worried about the overheating of the x and y axis stepper motors. They get very hot after a few hours of work. And I'm very worried that they won't burn from too much heat. Is this my worry? Or should I worry about it?😢
Try to „one handed quick swap“ the nozzle on the „all metal extruder“ 😂 You will be surprised that it’s just a K1 with a proprietary nozzle. It’s far away from what you can see on their website. How would you call this? Slightly exaggerated marketing? Or maybe it’s a true lie?
Ohh yes. Looking to try the swap. The fact that you can't easily just pop off the cover to gain access says alot

Are you using Orcaslicer with your Creality K1C? Having difficulties with printing a small logo using PETG filament.
I am now. Not for this initial review. I have had issues with small thing small text. I have had the same with my x1c Bambu printers too. Depending on the size, the only way to address this is using a. 02 nozzel
Does it come with any filament in the package when it ships?
Yes, it came with about 200g of white Hyper PLA.
I have had nothing but trouble with the K1 Max. It has never been able to print as good as the Ender 3 of any version. Lots of artifacts in the print. It is not a refined printer like the Bambu Lab PS1. I had so many problems from day one. The printer was beating itself to death. My mistake was waiting for Crealty CS customer service to fix these problems. In these delays and my trust in Creativity, they drug their feet until the 3 month return time was over. I begged them to take it back. I ended up selling it for 1/3 of what I paid. I will never buy another Creality printer ever again because of the horrible customer service on this not finished nor refined printer. It clogs all the time and it takes a lot of work just to get to the print head to remove the clog. I have changed the hot end three times, and still it clogs. I have a LOT of experience with 3D printers and have 25 of them.
I am sorry, but IMHO i think nobody should support Creality with the K1C, creality has not been honest and straight with the full metal extruder of the K1C.
Still the best printer for $500. Marketing morons notwithstanding.

Theres no way that machines been in use for several weeks being tested. The other k1c reviewers literally broke theirs during the review. Also like others mentioned that extruders gears are plastic
Now I have not taken the extruder apart yet as I wanted to complete my testing. That will be next. But yes. I have had mine for some time now. I received it during ces. So two to 3 weeks. I have printed at least 12 rolls of pla and 2 pla cf.. been using it for some of our production prints
I actually still have the box for the k1c was scratching my head and double checked the date. Yup it shipped priority the week of the 8th. I had been up that weekend from ces.

Disagree. The belle of the K1 ball is the K1 Max. The K1C, for all its incremental upgrades and claims of incremental upgrades is still too small to be useful in too many projects. It's not competing against the Ender 3. It's competing against the P1P, P1S and A1, all of which have substantially bigger beds, AMS and a track record of reliability. The K1 Max competes, trading +44mm for it's lack of an AMS-like system.
I agree with you on the K1 Max. I have one as well. Now from what I was told at Ces2024, a color system is coming in April. And color is coming to the existing K1 line. But I love the build plate size of the K1 max
