Enjoying this series. In my experience the drip emitters become clogged when kept under water like that. I found that the manifolds that limit to 2 gph to not clog in this application. Great job though. I'll be looking forward to how it operates long term, I can see one of these in my future, and hopefully we can all learn from you and any tweaks that happen over the next couple of months.
I really like this idea. I did something similar when I created my guppy fry tanks. I only have three but in the future I want to upgrade my fishroom and do something just like this. Great job man!
Nice project, have followed the whole series. I can see something along this line being used for Betta housing. I wonder if you would paint the shelf that the containers sit on a brown or black color if the colors of the fish wouldn't get washed out?
Love the system but there is one part I do not understand, sorry if I am missing the obvious here. The water is pumped from the aquarium, flows through the individual tanks, overflows into the gutters and eventually runs into your filter. I get that; what I don't understand is how the water gets back into the aquarium to complete the cycle, surely within a short space of time the aquarium would empty, obviously this is not the case. How do you replenish the water in the aquarium?
@gregjonesonline that sounds expensive 😳 but it's so nice with the overflow. Also any tips on recovering live bearer fry? Right now I put them in 30 gal inside fry trap with now lights so they don't get stressed. But taking individual fish out is rough when you have other maintenance.
@@thedampestcrib6004 I had them already and repurposed them for the project. There are a bunch of livebearer trap designs, I like the ones that are large, float, and allow fry to drop down into the tank below
Why not send the waste water to the drain instead of the turtle tank? The heavy feeding of fry will add a lot of waste unnecessarily. Every man to his own fish of course, but why dedicate this level of technology and expense to Endlers? Why not some ultra fancy guppies and do a little selective breeding with them?

Great video Greg! I enjoyed the series of videos! Keep up the Awesome work!
Clever system. Good job.
Greetings from Paris 😀
Great setup.
Love the final product. Super simple (K.I.S.S.) works best. May I suggest a shrimp breeding project for the rack?
Cool stuff bro:) Next thing to look at for these would be self cleaning. I'm all about automation. Fun build!
Cool project. Going to be exciting to see where this goes! :)
jlathem it goes to hell all that water
And the water bill
very cool build, nice job 👍
What are those white containers with spillways called?
Nice project, have followed the whole series. I can see something along this line being used for Betta housing. I wonder if you would paint the shelf that the containers sit on a brown or black color if the colors of the fish wouldn't get washed out?
When I used drip lines on my Shrimp tanks before Greg I had to super glue every joint because mines eventually leaked .
Marks Shrimp Tanks good tip! I'll have to watch out for it thanks!
I could see a betta/fry system in those racks.
Would it be worth painting the back, bottom and sides white or black? To help the critters pop while there in there.
great rack , are the tanks big enough for platy`s growout?
Nice set up. . hard to find those small breeder hang ons

Greg is running a drip system to keep his tanks topped up.
Thanks for that.
Where did you get your 1/2 gallon tanks at ?
they are Marina breeding boxes
You got fry in your waste water barrel, pretty cool system though.
Where did you get your plastic boxes on the rack?
marina hang on breeder box
where did you get the tanks from? or what did you make them from?
They are Marina Hang On Breeder Box (Large): amzn.to/2t0gsIi
I know this is an old video, but could I do this with bettas? If so, where can I find 2.5 - 5 gallon tanks like yours at?
Hunter's channel these are marina breeder boxes
The barrel had fry in it.
Anxious Aquatics yes, I scoop them out every day, I need to fix my overflow screen
It didn't look like the left breeder boxes in the second, third, and fourth rows were overflowing any water
they were in varying states of filling after i turned the system on and off a few times prior to filming
Your turtle barrel has baby fish in it
Where in the world do you get the fry tanks from?????
marina hang on breeder boxes
Where can I get those containers?
Hector De Jesus marina hang on breeder box
Greg Jones thanks!!
Where can I get tanks like that
ho w do you get that continer?
Angelo Lieng Marina hang on breeder box
i see, thank you
devide the little tanks in half and put bettas in them. thats 32 bettas in that system.
Where do you get you fry tanks at info
Marina hang on breeder boxes on amazon
You never mentioned what those contaners are
Large marina hang on breeder boxes
maybe add some moss into the tanks to give females some hiding spaces to feel secure
Anyone know where to find these containers?
I used the large size marina/fluval hang on breeder boxes for this project

Debating useing small garden planters but I feel like the extra connectors would cost about the same ad getting these tanks 😅 merica

@@gregjonesonline any name brands I can look up the ones I use they swordtails get out of
No heaters?
Or is it in the tank with the pump?
Big J the aquarium system and turtle system have heaters, drip is fast enough to maintain temp, room is also warm
