A funny thing is that on the grounds of Saratoga, there is a monument commemorating the rebel victory and Arnold's specific deeds during the battle. It even has a bloody boot like was showing in the opening credits, however it doesn't mention him by name, even tho you know that's who it is talking about
I've never been there, but I found a case of old 35 mm slides that my grandfather had taken, dating from the 40's through the 70's, and some of them were of a trip that he and my grandmother had taken to that area. I know that there's some of Fort Ticonderoga, and there's probably some in Saratoga, too.
Thank you for allowing us to sit with you and watch. I think the next half is in February but don't quote me lol. Even in Canada we use the name Benedict Arnold when we feel betrayed. Much of American history is known to us because we were also a part of it with the French and English. However in our case the English won. Seeing Jamie look at Scotland sent chills over me.( I think the Gaelic song aided in that as well) I am looking forward to the next half as there is much to be packed into it . (book reader) May you and your mum stay well.
Thanks, I enjoy doing these videos. If I had the time, I'd do a lot more, especially movies. But movies take 2 or 3 times longer to edit into reactions.
Angus Macfadyen played Simon Fraser. He’s a Scottish actor who played Robert the Bruce in Braveheart and again in Robert the Bruce. He also played Robert Rogers in Turn Washington Spies which was an excellent series especially if you are an American history enthusiast as I am.
If you hadn't told me that he was in Braveheart, which I've seen many times, I'd never have recognized him. I suppose Braveheart was A LOT of years ago though, wasn't it?
It is also funny because William meets Rogers in the book, a part they skipped over that would have been after the spy mission but before saratoga. so when i saw willie interacting with angus, it gave my a chuckle knowing who he played in turn
I agree, though I've seen music used in some shows where it didn't fit. One instance that I recall is the show "Peaky Blinders", set in the 19-teens to 1920's and they were using some Johnny Cash music. The song fit the mood of the scene, but wasn't time period appropriate. lol
Yes, I've really been wanting to watch them but with the holiday and some family stuff, I haven't had time to record. I plan to sit down and record one, if not both episodes on Thursday (the 5th) though and I'll try to get them edited as quickly as I can.
Hi, I haven't watched any of the new season yet, but I've been itching to. Just have a lot going on and when it comes time when I can record, I'm just too tired. But I'm going to soon. I'll make a concerted effort to get it going this coming week, if possible. I'm anxious to see how the season goes.
Glad to know. Will keep an eye out. And hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
Glad I‘m not the only one who noticed that they cast a different dog for Rollo in season 7😅.
I thought I might have been the only one that noticed lol.

Yes I actually went back and watched it after I finished Turn. I hadn’t seen it in a long time. One of the best movies ever.

I'm thinking about Feb, 2024, as season 6 premiered in Feb, I could be wrong. I also have the blu-rays of seasons 1 - 6.
I agree i think February or March. The strike might delay it though since the actors can’t promote anything new.
changes with music is great.. moving forward with the times

2 episodes of 7B have dropped. Will you be doing reactions? I've been checking every day.

Hi 31 Mike. Are you still reacting to Outlander? I miss your analysis and reactions.

Kristin Atherton will play the role of jenny.
Just looked her up to see what she looks like and there's a strong resemblance to Laura Donnelly, facially... at least in the few pictures that I saw.
@@31Mike if you miss Lauren you can watch "The Nervers"
You can always watch "The Nevers" wich Laura is in.
