Its nice to see Cadets that can do drill really well, gives me motivation to get our Sqn to this standard. Other than the different way of stamping, you did a fantastic job. People who keep moaning about saluting need to look more at the peak and notice that its shiny meaning that he was a Warrant Officer and therefore doesn't need saluting...
Agreed. Reader is correct...in the Canadian Cadet program cadets should not be saluting Warrant Officers. The same reason an Officer Cadet doesn't receive a salute, neither hold a commission.
an easy way to remember is taking a check pace on the right foot then u make T L V with ur feet. - - after the check, move ur left foot infront of ur right foot n make a T shape, then coz u turning to the right u move ur right foot round so both ur heels r touching (at a 90 degree angle) to make an L shape. then finally straighten urself back up n make a V shape with ur feet n go off again on ur right foot! its simple when u no how!! but dnt worry if u dnt get it coz it duz take a while!! lol
this is kind of the right thing to do exept from when comeing to a halt i know this because we have the wing warent officer in our squadren who is also the regional drill instuctor so up yours
The main thing that gets me in this is Action no. 29 - The squad are halted late and they aren't in the middle of the parade ground! The tape is stopped and started again to fix it.. just watch how the commander magically moves.. it's such a shame..
good vid, exceptional drill with some points for improvement, im rusty but on an eyes right is the right marker not supposed to keep eyes ahead. also i think you need a lesson in the def of "in to line" perhaps voice needs to be a little sharper good tho
Correct me if I'm wrong , but on our sqn , when the tallest of the right shortest on the left order is given , we keep our arms locked in by our sides?
They were adult NCO's, pretty sure I recognise the one on the right from my wing and he wouldn't let someone get away with not saluting if the person on his left was an officer =D
Well yes, but this is a training video for cadets though. Their squadron number is really irrelevent for this video. And anyone saying that they can do better, these people are the Corps Drill Champions that were chosen to do this video. Cadet Sergeant Melling - ATC 1811 Marlow Squadron
the parade commander - his steps are a bit odd at the begining and isnt he supposed to to say squadron number and squadron name when he askes the drill inspector to begin. any care to elabarate Cadet Bayliss - ATC 2423 Treorchy Squadron
i cant belive anyone would issue this out as the way the drill is to be done, as to be honest its not crap and its not great, i wouldnt let my NCOs do drill to that standard. and how the hell could a video be ACP 19
OMD you should not have to adjust your dress THAT much after a little bit of marching around!!( 8:21 ) and I completely agree with @UnrealisticBedtime. There is an officer in the room so don't do the number then say Cadet warrant officer. Its the highest rank of officer in the room. And also your marching seems so uncomfortable and stiff... RELAX!!!
384 rocks, even though they don't want me in the drill team.....I'm better than half in the team! Thers arms out of time, pathetic wheels and some arent stamping in with their legs high enough. Some are swinging their arms to high and 2 wide, like your about to embrace someone, not like your marching? And they want us to win this yea?????
isnt it frm the right - number and even numbers stand fast odd numbers 2 paces step forward- march and more than 9 poeple so is a flight and form a flight on 3 ranks in single rank size. you were turning at the halt not moving, and then i got bored so i didnt watch te rest of the video
the timings of this are terrible, a turn is a one left right one, not one pause one like they are doing, also he didnt salute the officer, and on shortest on the left tallest on the right, you should not leave spaces for those taller than you, they are to squeeze in, not very good.
Firstly, timings for static salutes were awful, 3 to the front, 5 to the left and right. secondly, the pace was far too fast and lastly the dressings on the march were atrocious! I rank this as a 9th or 10th position in the drill competition.
this is all wrong, i am in Air cadets in canada and we are 614 and we are the best in the conutry. you guys are doing half of the things wrong. well correct me , because watching 614 and this, it looks wrong. not hating but dont say it "should" be done like that.
dressing is wrong - person who gives orders cant march and he dident salut- when right dressing they look like theer punching eachother to the front salute was too quike- marching too quike- marktime too quike- and they look like panzys :)
ACP19 in video form! I got shown this DVD on an NCO course, the officer called it 'too perfect'!! Those halts!!

1924 squadron, we rock at drill, u guys learn something from this video
Good effort, haven't seen any drill this good online for a while, should be proud of eachother.
Squadron carrying out the sequence is 1924 (Shirley) Squadron in Surrey Wing (London & South East Region).----Ahhh, thats who we lost to...
Great to see a squadron that has actually read ACP 19 word for word and knows how to right dress correctly.
Yes you do!, the clues in the name, WARRANT Officer, they hold the Warrant and are therefore called Sir by all of their juniors.
Agreed. Reader is correct...in the Canadian Cadet program cadets should not be saluting Warrant Officers. The same reason an Officer Cadet doesn't receive a salute, neither hold a commission.
I have to say, I agree.
I agree peter.
these guys are great! is this drill team? and isn't right marker meant to keep eyes forwards when turning heads?
why so much negative comments - a very good video.. accept it!!
an easy way to remember is taking a check pace on the right foot then u make T L V with ur feet. - - after the check, move ur left foot infront of ur right foot n make a T shape, then coz u turning to the right u move ur right foot round so both ur heels r touching (at a 90 degree angle) to make an L shape. then finally straighten urself back up n make a V shape with ur feet n go off again on ur right foot! its simple when u no how!! but dnt worry if u dnt get it coz it duz take a while!! lol

That was a fantastic piece of drill.. Very consistant. Region if not Corps wininng standard.
You're right :)
The main thing that gets me in this is Action no. 29 - The squad are halted late and they aren't in the middle of the parade ground! The tape is stopped and started again to fix it.. just watch how the commander magically moves.. it's such a shame..

good tho
Correct me if I'm wrong , but on our sqn , when the tallest of the right shortest on the left order is given , we keep our arms locked in by our sides?
4 years ago wooo
i agree about the flight sgt!! lol
Do you think birds do it similarly?
They were adult NCO's, pretty sure I recognise the one on the right from my wing and he wouldn't let someone get away with not saluting if the person on his left was an officer =D
Dude, you have to salute the officer when you go up. :O
what sqn are you?
Good . In India one more command needed. That was SALUTE WITH MESSAGE. I think that the commander forget that.
how come the DI doesnt have to salute the ruperts when he's asking permission to carry out the drill sequence and at the end?
@ImpossibleElement ??
wait, isn't a size line suppost to take five seconds to be fully complete? not 11:S other than that, it's pretty good
Why did he not Salute when he is wearing a beret ?
Well yes, but this is a training video for cadets though. Their squadron number is really irrelevent for this video. And anyone saying that they can do better, these people are the Corps Drill Champions that were chosen to do this video.
Cadet Sergeant Melling - ATC 1811 Marlow Squadron
@ImpossibleElement ah thanks
well the west mercian wing is defo lol
the parade commander - his steps are a bit odd at the begining and isnt he supposed to to say squadron number and squadron name when he askes the drill inspector to begin.
any care to elabarate
Cadet Bayliss - ATC 2423 Treorchy Squadron
@trav10854
The number one is hidden behind the DI
You're right, but he's a WARRANT officer. You DO NOT salute a warrant officer if you value your life...
that video is a few years old
who decided to put a boys voice up for there Drill IC?
They march funny :)
343? say hi 2sgt pursey!
look at the girl on the front line to the left of the right marker at 3:14. look how high she's holding her head:L. she's looking at the ceiling:)
@robotchickenfan thats exactly what I thought :O
these people are fcking robot man we are good but thats next lvl !
In my opinion drill is the worst thing about cadets. I hate it so much, I'm really bad. But these people are really good at it.
i cant belive anyone would issue this out as the way the drill is to be done, as to be honest its not crap and its not great, i wouldnt let my NCOs do drill to that standard. and how the hell could a video be ACP 19

Once again, you are canadian and we are british. Things are done differently. Even so, saluting Warrant Officers? They don't hold a commission...
the timings of this are terrible, a turn is a one left right one, not one pause one like they are doing, also he didnt salute the officer, and on shortest on the left tallest on the right, you should not leave spaces for those taller than you, they are to squeeze in, not very good.
When calling out numbers.. Its supposed to be at walking pace Fail :)
he didnt salute the officers O_o
Firstly, timings for static salutes were awful, 3 to the front, 5 to the left and right. secondly, the pace was far too fast and lastly the dressings on the march were atrocious! I rank this as a 9th or 10th position in the drill competition.
yeh his halt is defo wrong he goose steps ( german march ) when he halts lol
think he was a WO
Tallest on the left, shortest on the right? Thats wrong.
Hmmmm Good Drill Butt There Should Of Been A Salute At The Officer Before And After You Speak To Him!!!!!!! 1244 All Thee Wayy :D
you giving the drill commands. flight sergeant? you need to learn to march properly, and halt properly and get a drill voice!
this is all wrong, i am in Air cadets in canada and we are 614 and we are the best in the conutry. you guys are doing half of the things wrong. well correct me , because watching 614 and this, it looks wrong. not hating but dont say it "should" be done like that.
1165 m8 :P
it is still wrong. and warrant officers we do salute to them.
wow my sqrn is shit compared to that
cant march lol
dressing is wrong - person who gives orders cant march and he dident salut- when right dressing they look like theer punching eachother to the front salute was too quike- marching too quike- marktime too quike- and they look like panzys :)
