Well to be fair they’re were rebuilt in 2002 so for the most part they’re still alive because of that... but as of right now they’re like barely alive lol
lol why'd you comment this on the rail fleet video? Lol Although I do have a thread following the retirement of SEPTA buses here www.vtransitcenter.com/index.php/topic,851.0.html
8:30 suber sad to see the norristown high speed line track in such bad shape 😥. I know this kind of bouncy track in very common in the US, bit where I live in the Netherland I never see such railtracks.
Is that the historic fleet, like all these trains used to run or is this the current everyday fleet? I am from Austria and i am confused if those are actually still running. Don't get me wrong some of these historic cars are beatiful in their own way but, these belong in a museum. I don not know a lot about American public transport, so i find this video very interesting and I am actually curious.
Everything shown was still running at the time this video was made. I’m not sure about the rest of America, but I know SEPTA tends to run trains into the ground before replacing them.
DashTransit That is very interesting! while i have a soft spot for vintage traincars, i can not imagine how bad this must be for everyday commuting. I hope replacements comes soon for philadelphia! Thank you for the answer!
Does SEPTA have the stones to: 1. Seize the Cutoff via Eminent Domain 2. Build CCM as a DIESEL line with no more than 7 Island Platform stations 3. Grant $1/Yr. Trackage Rights back to NS fore their trouble???????
That's actually what I like about Dash's channel versus most others. It feels more natural. Most other videos, especially rail videos, have it so that you can't see the vehicle until it's right upon you.
Incredible Video! I live in Philly and this is the most accurate video of SEPTA ever!
Hard to believe the PCC's are still in-use. Toronto just unloaded all of their old streetcars, and they were much newer than the PCC's.

Notice the tiling thing with our Broad Street Subway Line.
Nice video, very comprehensive!

Simply Splendid YES I will share Thank You !!
Now that was a fast 13 minutes!
These are the systems of SEPTA I've never been on;
1)Regional Rail Lines
2)Buses.
3)NHSL
4)Route 15 Trolley.
rip 2301-2307 (1987) and 2308 (1996) u were the best rail machinery septa had
that intro music is so nostalgic
Great video!
If you can, see about doing a bus version - for those curious minds that wanna know what all buses SEPTA has.
I'll try to do one, but it wouldn't be in 13 minutes more like 20 lol
Here's the bus version now:
ua-cam.com/video/eAVkDBzRXbw/v-deo.html
The beat in the intro is awesome
Septa is about to replace the Market Frankfurt line cars in a few years with brand new cars built by hitachi
Septa is officially all Cummins now as 5516 is done according to ptv on Facebook.
lol why'd you comment this on the rail fleet video? Lol

The proletariat must rise up comrades
Yes
Justin Hanna yes
The comets and the shoreliners were leased from njt
Just Comets.... we never had shoreliners (those are strictly Metro-North's branding for them).
Awesome 😊

2:45 - Where are we?
Langhorne Station
nice collection, SEPTA fan. But dude/Dudette... Hold the camera still, the motion is a bit much to take
What about the alp-44 and aem-7
Those are gone
No they are not there still there
They don’t run in revenue service.
Scrapped as of 2022.
Rip Route 15 trolleys
They will be back out for overhaul maintenance
Why oh why did they not buy Comet V's?
Silverliners
mm delicious trains
2:20 wait Hyundai?

The amount of unnecessary zooming and unsteady shakiness is a bit nauseating.
