- Five years ago, Raymond Khoo took part in an exercise to distribute food to needy residents in Lengkok Bahru. The poverty he saw spurred him to start Saturdays@Lengkok Bahru, which distributes bread and fruits, organises lunches and conducts tuition classes every Saturday for more than 100 families living in the area.

A Singaporean look after the less fortunate fellow country man and woman is the Singapore way of life! Way to go , Raymond. Thump up for you.
Showing a very good example for your son to follow.
Raymond is doing the important work that our government should be doing in the first place. Salute, it's truly amirable work.
God bless you for helping them..
I used to live here.. blk 61 from 1994-1999.. made many friends and many great memories we made while we were young..we are really close till now.. there was a couple named Mickey chiang and Auntie Meiling.. they really took care of us, send us to tuitions, got us schools to study, and thanks to them.. all of us now are not rich but able to live and buy our own houses, alhamdulillah.. i thank god for all these good souls... and May our beloved late Uncle Mickey rest in peace and may Allah grant him paradise.. Thanks for all these good people in our lives..
Amazing! God bless the good samaritans
congratulation sir -- gd honourable work done by someone admirable !!!!!! 👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
most poor people are elderly and they refuse help from the government as they feel ashamed even though they deserve as they were hardworking citizens who built Singapore's infrastructure

Thank you Sir👍🏽👍🏽
You know... one can't judge about the financial status by the type of flat they live in.... one can be affluent in the beginning and able to afford a 4 room flat but later encounter illness and loose their ability to work... they are left in limbo no income but a good house...
Respect ....❤❤❤❤
Good Job Raymond!!!!!!
If I’m not wrong, those entire set of blocks from Blk 55 to 5X or 6X are all rental blocks provided by the Hdb, rented out under the public rental scheme for those lower income families. They can’t recieve some upgrading programmes such as sers and some of their facilities were rather old, eg (their lifts were already 40 plus years old when upgraded in 2008-2009), though I believe by now they should’ve have some improvements. Although the government is already helping by subsidising their rent for a small flat I believe it still isn’t enough for most.
great work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
great work sir
singapore is rich country you can never find a shanty type of dwellings there..it seems everybody leaves in condo type
keep it up, Raymond
Why no comments?
because singaporeans dont see themselves as being poor
Suzie Wan I dont belief so....singapore is a rich country what..... maybe in another country.yes..its the downloader unintentional mistake to give
such information.

I am Singaporean and I am poor. I dare to admit I am poor. My earnings today is still below average.
@@mohdyusuffbinsharif7708 i did spent a couple of years in spore during my childhood days -- yes ive seen it !!
I HAVE SEEN IT !!!!!
Shame on govt
Is the govt/mo grc helping them or just wayang pretending that they're helping the lower income needy singaporeans
Wonder where the so called billions helping the poor every year gone to?
The more you have, the more you want to hoard . . . don't know why!
Singapore is just another sugar coated topping! Nice on the external, rotten on the inside.
