@@bertenheimer My reply will contain some spoilers, so those who're reading this discussion but didn't read SBR yet, ignore what I'm gonna say - yet. I agree and disagree at the same time. Keep it in mind that it's an extended cut of an already existing track, which can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/m99wqs9FNy4/v-deo.html . This track was meant to be more discovering on Diego as a person's theme rather than just a battle theme for him/Scary Monsters, that's why the slash in the title. On the other hand, I disagree with the statement that the first half doesn't fit him, but more disagree with him being a "wsternized" DIO theme. While there are similarities in origin and some similar behavior, Diego is more of a composite character/reimagined version of him, with a much deeper thought process and even dynamic compared to the others. Yes, he's a villain in Johnny's eyes, but even Johnny is not a saint, as we could see both in his background story and in general, just how he behaves in some of the parts (like his mentality about killing, and how he thinks it's "more than okay" compared to Gyro). In every other character's perspective, he's more of a rival, which is especially true how he joins the same cause (but for some different reasons) of stopping Valentine, along with Hot Pants. Not just that, but we all know Scary Monsters is a *borrowed* stand from Dr. Ferdinand. It's not his. It would feel weird to have a battle theme for him when Scary Monsters itself was already used by someone else along the way, and it's an important aspect of Diego's characterization of getting his stand from someone else rather than developing on its own. Once again, keep it in mind that the project was never meant to emulate DavPro's soundtrack creation process (which I highly criticized in some of my posts previously), as it follows more of the narrative instead (thus characters having their own non-battle themes, while Stands are the one more dedicated to battle-oriented tracks). NOW, if we're talking about another Diego, which has an entirely different stand, I totally agree with you, to the point he WILL have its own battle theme, and that will be influenced by some of DIO's theme from both Part 1/3, but it won't be a remix either. It's not a remix channel, after all. There are dozens of content creators out there creating the 14127491725th iteration of Giorno's Theme etc. that I cannot, and don't want to compete with, I'm offering an entirely different alternative. As many of my followers have commented upon correctly, these are more of a "soundtrack for the manga".

You know how Dio’s mom loved him but his dad abused him? After that, his mom died leaving him only with his abusive father, which drove him into a life of hatred and manipulation.
