I remember reading SBR for the first time a couple of years back while listening to your soundtrack. This song is absolutley phenomenal to the point where I'm considering a reread from this song alone. Thank you so much Gwinn :)
Honestly love the western motif to the theme which fits Johnny's character so well and captures the sheer intensity of Tusk Act4. The Power of Infinity cannot be stopped.
Gwinn, you truly have such a unique style. What I mean is that your mixes don't typically follow popular... Trends of sounds/beats. I wish I could describe it better, but I lack descriptive words a music composer/producer would know lol Your themes don't sound mainstream is what I mean. As if you've really actually fine tuned your music so that it appeals to a different taste, yknow? I'll try using food terms I guess, so here goes It's like you've been served plates of food from only one culture for most your life. But there's one restaurant/family in town that makes a dish from their homeland, and quite honestly, it's really good. That's what your music is like. I also wrote this at nearly 1 AM so I blame my brain fog for the lack of witty or even intelligible explanation that was meaning tk lead to a big compliment. But still, I love your work and I want you to keep making more! I am truly a regularly returning patron at your inn from... Somewhere, I dunno. Let's just say Germany.anyway, good work xD
Thank you SO MUCH!! I really appreciate the sentiment. I'm not sure how *unique* my work actually is, but in regards of fanmade music, I definitely don't try to chase trends and instead doing all the stuff on my own - I feel like that's kind of the appeal of the channel, that it's not remixes or themes that sound authentic, but some kind of unique take on it, like as if it was a different kind of adaptation. I like your food analogy too! Once again, I just appreciate that there are people who are interested in this kind of take for JoJo and my other projects.
@@Gwinnmusic Thank you for making me feel like my comment was well written and organized lol You absolutely make your themes your own, and they are very distinct. Like, Habtler's Tusk Act 4 theme was very cool, but it has a very mainstream feel to it. Like how a Marvel composition might sound. With your themes, I feel like they tell a story, instead of a battle. The best parts aren't only the climax, but everything building up to it, and beyond. You've got a talent, and you use it well.
The other day I was watching a video that explained that the infinite spin was likely a metaphor for how certain actions we take have strong immediate effects and smaller effects on the world forever. So the domino effect basically. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but with the themes of good karma and bad karma present in Jojo, especially prominent in 7 and 8, I thought it was a really interesting theory. I mean banger track Gwinn
HOW DID I MISS THIS- This feeling of the song is so.. i cant put it in words. It fits the story better than perfect, even if perfect is impossible, it surpassed it. I genuinely love this, first few seconds and it just hooks you with that menacing song and the once felt cooling and calm nature of that western whistle now foreboding and powerful sounding. You feel like you are Valentine in the situation, seeing it break through love train. Its, completely stumpted me this is too good.
This was so great. I loved all the different types of emotions compiled within these 9 minutes. Also how part of your Johnny theme is referenced. Can't wait for the next one
To answer anyones questions on why the song is a banger, its due to the way its composed. (SPOILERS FOR PART 7) At the beginning, you can already tell and imagine the song has the BPM close to the galloping of a horse. Thats the first part. Most people need a horse to be able to preform infinite spin, so thats important. To also add on, it presents a 'Confident, i'm going to end this in its tracks' Feel, which shows johnny wanting to get rid of Valentine once and for all. After a bit, a dark theme begins playing. This is what me and my friends call 'dark determination.' (SPOILERS AHEAD) As johnny watches his greatest friend die, the most hectic but calm theme plays. After a bit, it is followed up by a dark ambience with masterful... I forgot what instrument that was. Then the main beat plays, as it feels sped up, with a string instrument in the background. This continues about once after, then the song ends. Edit: Holy, this is my first hearted comment. Alright gwinn, i see you still check comments. Thank you so much for great content. Also, thanks for my first hearted post.
Also note the new guitar riffs. After that, a heavenly theme plays, pretty much revolving around gyro showing once again to give Johnny more confidence. Then dark determination 2 plays. This one is more risky and dangerous sounding, as you can tell. IF you're the villain, It's your end.
I like the duality of this theme. There are parts that are more heroic, and then there are parts that make Tusk seem like a terrifying and unstoppable force of nature.
@@Gwinnmusic oh wow, didn’t expect a response. But seriously, I love your stuff so much, and you deserve so much more attention than you get, cause as of now, your like the hidden gem of music on UA-cam
This is the type of tracks i'd absolutely would want David Production to pull off, this is peak JoJo OST. Phenomenal job, know you have talent. Outstanding!!
It gives the plot of the story into sound! The fierce fight between the president and Johnny. And the sad tense of the presidents deal and Johnny refusing. Such a good track! It symbolizes his growth in power; and the quest of the steel ball run! And to Diego’s world arc; wonderful piece. Good job!
3:38 "It was truly a long path. Truly, truly a long roundabout path. This was the reason for lesson 5. Thank you...i don't know what else I could say. Thank you, Gyro." Thats something I imagine Johnny would say during this part before it cuts to the action centric part, where Valentine gets defeated. Oh and maybe at that part we would see a little flashback of their adventures and what they're all went through.
Every track that you make has something magical about it, it's something you can't put into words. I think we are truly blessed to be able to hear these masterpieces.
I thought that your Tusk Act 3's theme was an unreachable peak of quality among all the other tracks you made, but this one right here has proven me wrong. Everything in this theme is the perfect combination between the epicness, sorrow and badassery that i would expect everyone to feel at the end of this story. My only real critique is that it is a bit too long, but that's just my point of view and it doesn't make this any less good!
Also forgot to mention, the length itself was kind of a challenge myself and also many people wanted to hear a REALLY long track that was JoJo inspired, so I felt like that this theme would definitely be the perfect candidate to do so. But I feel like it's gonna be a one-time thing.
