You re-attached the beautiful green "marble" on your galaxy stone 5:36! So glad you did, it absolutely makes the piece. Love it! Love all the polishes, especially the little planet. It's mesmerizing to look at. I'm just now starting to experiment with polishing the outer shell without cutting. There's definitely a learning curve.
Hey mate! Absolutely had to reattach the nodule 😉 it was what made me grab the rock from the creek. Polishing a nodule or rock without cutting Will challenge you, but it’s so so rewarding. It’s a learning curve indeed 😉

@@Rookie_Rockounding no I don’t ever miss any of your videos lol. I have watched them all and always get notified when you have a new one. You’re one of the few that I honestly say makes rock hounding interesting to watch someone do and I have learned quite a bit from you and Benny
Thank you Yvonne, I’m also very sorry to hear of your husband. I remember you saying you were his carer and I have been there before and take my hat off to you.
You're on the right track, but dendrites are almost 2 dimensional, as they form from minerals percolating in via fractures. They fan out wherever they can, but they happen after the agate is mostly or totally complete. These tubes occur while the vesicle still contains gel nearly to the edge, therefore much earlier.
Wow, you got some beautiful stones in this one. Way to go! I especially love seeing them polished and also some of them cut open. All that detail inside that you can't see on the outside. Just stunning. Thanks for sharing!
Well done! Stunning. The galaxy stone with the teal/green nodule on top (you had to glue him back on, yeah?) Great specimen piece. The rhyolite is stunning. The agates are brilliant. I like the comparison of before and after too. 😇
Thank you Anita! And yes! That was the one I had to glue back in. I had footage of it but it became too drawn out kinda thing. Haha. It’s a beautiful piece though hey. Thank you again!
"Just sitting in the sun polishing my rocks", 😂😂. Sorry mate made me have a wry smile. Some great pieces, although I haven't found any Rhyolite yet, I am becoming a real fan, so many colours and flow shapes in it. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin.
Bahahaha! Oh gosh mate hilarious! Man I think once you find one you’ll end up seeing it everywhere! I’ll have to take you to some good areas for it sometime.
I just got my tile saw and blade. Getting set up to start cutting some small pieces. I think I will have to work on arm/hand strength for the larger ones. Or show my brother how it's done. I don't yet have a polishing set up (that's coming with my next stimulus check). I can hardly wait. I have so many great stones collected just in my small rural neighborhood; mostly from construction sites. And, one of the local gas stations is landscaped with the most beautiful stones you can imagine: pet. wood, jaspers of all colors and agates galore, all looking to be from this general geologic area. I only get one or two every couple of weeks. I don't want to be too obvious.
That's great info. I've been wondering about my bigger rocks. So, now I get get my polish on and it looks safe enough to do it while I get my shine on. 😁 just kidding. Thanks Rookie.
Rookie my sweet! Thank you thank you thank you! Ive learnt so much watching your videos, and now I know how to make my leather polisher! I dont have any tin oxide, but found a product called barkeeps' friend, which seems to bring up a fair polish on my quartz polishes. Sadly, I havent found agates like yours, but SA has its own brands of lovliness which I will share as soon as I get a chance! Love to you and yours, and to rhonda and her family especially young will ❤🙏blessings mate
Heyyyyyy Allyson! I’ve heard of barkeepers friend before. I might have to try that. But honestly I’m not sure the polish did very much. I might have needed to do it longer. Haha! May you and yours have a brilliant week Allyson!!!!
Think I called it STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. Believe it after your polish. Awesome vid and gr8 watch. Much love bro. Keep on cutting. P.s. waiting for your ULTRA VIOLET HUNT!!
Hey Ramman Rai! Yeah you did 👍👍👍 The UV hunt never happened. I was out camping and was super excited to head out but when I turned on the light, the leaves all over the ground just flowed brighter than the agates haha! So next time I’m gonna need to go with a leaf blower first 🤦♂️🤣

Incredible job polishing! Each rock was my favorite until you showed the next rock!!! They were all just so pretty, thank you for the polishing tip (suede) when I finally get to doing some myself, I’ll def use that route! Great video!!! Thank you for sharing with us!
Good morning Jesse, this was a wonderful start to my Friday morning. I was most impressed by the specimen with the beautiful green edging, also I'm quite happy to see that you were able to reconnect that little nodule to the Galaxy Stone . Best regards and well wishes as always from your friend Lloyd somewhere here in Southern Ontario Canada.
G’day Lloyd!!!!! Oh now that green edged one was a surprise even to me. Only little but I mustn’t have noticed the details when I picked it up in the creek. It was only after the cleaning that I realised how beautiful it was. Have a brilliant week ahead brother! See you on the next one bud. 👊👊👊
Lovely rocks! At the 7 minute mark I have a biggish one just like that. It won't fill out inside either, but there's plenty in it. I might email a couple of photos of it. Hoping to be able to cut it one day. It's too big for my saw. Love the amygdaloidal basalt with all the little agates too. Your Stairway to Heaven piece - I'm pretty sure those scuffs/cracks are from forcing it too much on the saw. I've done it myself, that's how I know. Top video, and I love how you admire everything that goes with fossicking, such as the Blue Triangle Butterfly and the Rhyolite that most people would snub. Cheers.
Michael mate! How are youuuuu! Yeah that one at 7 mins was really weird hey. I could tell there was chalcedony with little agate lines through it inside but it just was that way all through. Strange but really cool. Not the best for lapidary stuff but something to wonder about haha! Oh no! Okay, the stairway to heaven one... see now I’ve seen these before and I wasn’t sure but thought that might have been the case. Like it got too hot or the pressure just lightning bolt cracked it. Thanks man for clearing that up for me! Ah man the Rhyolite and nature in that area are just beautiful. I actually was taking the shot and panning down the creek when the butterfly photo bombed the video haha! It was a perfect accident. I’m interested to see what you think of my next video in a week and a half’s time. It’s no music and no talking. A little bit arty but who knows, I thought I’d try it and it’s pretty peaceful. 😉 Take care mate and talk soon!
Wow Jesse! You did a phenomenal job. Bravo!👏 I think I'm going to try you're tip and make me a polishing pad...thank you! But I don't even know what to say about these beauties other than STUNNING!!! And great job with the freeform... They are all so pretty... I loved every bit of this... Take care bro and I'll talk to ya soon. Hugs to you and the familam!🤗
Hey Marlaina!!!!! Sorrrry super late reply! Oh gosh you can try the polishing pad but it wasn’t the best haha! It was harder to hold the rocks on there. I did notice a difference in the polish however which was cool. I hope you and the familam are doing well and I will definitely be talking to you soon to. Sending mega love to you n yours Mar!!!
Gorgeous Gorgeous Candy! Brother! This makes me almost anxious to share my finds to show you how uncannily similar yours are to mine from AZ. My available tech was passable two years ago but upgrades are happening faster than my interest. Being left in the dust here. But I guess this is where the rocks are. Keep doing what you do, Jesse. I'm sure new angles will make themselves known. I'm heading out in a couple days to pop some Apache Tears out of Perlite boulders...to take a break from all the damn Chalcedony and Agate. Love you, brother!
Its strange to see the difference in rhyolite! mine is so pumice like, and yours is so fine grained. It's funny to think that it was all just a slurry of acid superheated water silica Ash carbon random other chemicals and elements that flowed like mud. A horrible mess really. Slap a lake over it for a few million and boom perfect!

What a fantastic way to start my Friday! Thanks Jesse! They all turned out so beautiful. 😊💕
No! Thank you Dana for coming along 😉👍
Wow my friend magnificent pieces fantastic eye amazing names and thoughts coming out going to be hard to get better but I’m sure you will awesome awesome 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 thank you for the walk along
Ah thank you mate! Yeah I’m honestly just lucky to be able to play with these types of rocks. They’re just beautiful!
And thank you mate, for coming along. Have a great week ahead miles!
Beautiful polishing and incredible stones ! So lucky ! thanks for sharing
So glad to see you back to making videos!! Miss when you and Benny don't go hounding lol!!!
Hey Nancy, yeah I miss heading out with the boys. Been a while really. i do a video every two weeks though so if you’ve missed any check the video section on the page. Can’t wait to get out there with the boys soon though 😉👍
@@Rookie_Rockounding no I don’t ever miss any of your videos lol. I have watched them all and always get notified when you have a new one. You’re one of the few that I honestly say makes rock hounding interesting to watch someone do and I have learned quite a bit from you and Benny
There all awesome keep on rocking I always learn something watching your videos
Thanks mate 👍👍👍
Oh so beautiful 😍
Very impressive...really enjoyed the video Rookie..much love ur way..peace
Thank you Yvonne, I’m also very sorry to hear of your husband. I remember you saying you were his carer and I have been there before and take my hat off to you.
@@Rookie_Rockounding thanks love...
beautiful specimens and awesome work on the polish and the passion in explanation jessie..love your work mate
Wayneo thank you brother. I hope you and yours are keeping happy and well my mate!
how purdy are those, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice ! 👏🍻
Beautiful specimens! Your free form agate with the "worms" in it is called a Dendrite agate. Very nice!
Judy Herman
Nice! Thank you Judy!
Dendritic agate and opals are some of my favorites 😍😍
Legend! Great rocks, great information.
Cheeeeeers mate!
Those turned out real cool👍👍👍✌
Cheers mate 👍👍👍👍
Well done
You did a great job. Beautiful work on these stones. I'm jealous. Lol
Thank you Cynthia, I think I had a lot of help from the actual stones though. They’re just beautiful 😉
Wow, you got some beautiful stones in this one. Way to go! I especially love seeing them polished and also some of them cut open. All that detail inside that you can't see on the outside. Just stunning. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Kim, I’m really glad you enjoyed the video cuts and polishes. 😉👍
That galaxy stone looks incredible 😍 well done 😁
Thank you Anna! But it’s honestly natures work, I’m just making it easier to see haha!
@@Rookie_Rockounding not an easy skill to learn, your doing great 😁 I might give it a go one day lol
I need to get some tools now.. my agates and other stuffs are waiting to be polished. 😁😁 Great video boss.
Cheers mate!
Well done!
Beautiful specimens! Thanks for sharing. You rock!
Thank you Christina! Youuuuuu ROCK!
Oooh pretty love those beautiful colors
"Just sitting in the sun polishing my rocks", 😂😂. Sorry mate made me have a wry smile.
Some great pieces, although I haven't found any Rhyolite yet, I am becoming a real fan, so many colours and flow shapes in it.
Keep Safe & Keep Rockin.
Bahahaha! Oh gosh mate hilarious!
Man I think once you find one you’ll end up seeing it everywhere! I’ll have to take you to some good areas for it sometime.
Wow, wonderful, well done!
Hey there! We got a clamp from the hardware store and attached our buffer to a table. It makes polishing so much easier.
Wow what spectacular, beautiful polished rocks. I’m impressed with the amount of time you spent polishing. Thank you for a great video ❤️🇦🇺 xxx
I'm speechless 😍🤙🏽
Cheers Hu! 😉🤙
Like your ideas and strategies, you have the eye
Beautiful rocks love them. Thank you
That's great info. I've been wondering about my bigger rocks. So, now I get get my polish on and it looks safe enough to do it while I get my shine on. 😁 just kidding. Thanks Rookie.
Haha! Yeah you still need sunscreen! I forgot to mention that haha! But seriously I get the weirdest tan lines from polishing in the sun 🤣
Hi there from Renfrew County in Ontario Canada...took a while but I've finally got myself subscribed...great channel!
Aye! Awesome mate! Thank you so much. I do a video every two weeks incase you don’t get notified. I hope you enjoy 👍😊
This is a special channel. Thanks so much.
Think I called it STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. Believe it after your polish. Awesome vid and gr8 watch. Much love bro. Keep on cutting. P.s. waiting for your ULTRA VIOLET HUNT!!
Hey Ramman Rai! Yeah you did 👍👍👍
The UV hunt never happened. I was out camping and was super excited to head out but when I turned on the light, the leaves all over the ground just flowed brighter than the agates haha! So next time I’m gonna need to go with a leaf blower first 🤦♂️🤣
@@Rookie_Rockounding lol..there is always THE NEXT TIME my friend. It would be AMAZING if you found something when you do, even funnier if you found an OPAL cos everyone will come dig up where you are. Hope not but...ob well. Catch you on the next vid my man. Much love to you and family. Keep hounding!
OOOO that plume is stunning. Such pretty agates. I love the ryolite too. My saw is down for modification and I'm dying to go get more rocks. lol Just a great video, as usual. PEACE
Oh no! Ughhh.... I find that it’s when I can’t use something, that’s when I want to use it the most haha! But hopefully the modifications turn out perfect.
Happy hounding!
Thanks!
Beautiful!
Always learning when watching your videos. Awesome work, your Polishing is looking really good.
Thank you heaps mate. I hope you guys over there are keeping well. Hopefully we can have a trace bubble thing between us two countries soon 🤞🤞🤞
💪😁👍those are amazing thank you for sharing them 🤜💥🤛
Great stuff man! Having fun and enjoying what your doing is what it’s all about! Sometimes the fancy equipment takes the fun out of it! Keep it up! Love your channel!
Wow, how neat! I had thought about getting my son a rock tumbler for christmas last year, now i kind of want one for myself to try out for first time!! Really freaking cool to watch this and imagine it was so awesome to do yourself! Great job!! ❤❤❤
The basalt with baby agates, omg, you can just get lost in it! So freaking stunning!!! Absolutely in love with ❤
Wow pretty stones 😍 You just put out so much info that I needed. I wanted to try to find affordable equipment and easier to use. I always thought I needed a flat lap. I love my wet tile saw, works like a charm! I want to try the sander you used for sure. I have seen some anchor it to vice grip. So glad I found this and will start following. I'm hooked to fossil hunting and rock hounding! Btw... Please wear goggles, dust particles can get into your respiratory system through your eyes too (microbio major). And love your pup! 😀
Heyyyy thanks for the advice!!! I never even knew that about the microbio major!
Omg Michigan Rocks is in my State 😁😎🇺🇸 small world !!
Incredible job polishing! Each rock was my favorite until you showed the next rock!!! They were all just so pretty, thank you for the polishing tip (suede) when I finally get to doing some myself, I’ll def use that route! Great video!!! Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you Cheryl 😉
Just need the Highway to Hell agate now 😆 perfect pair of *rocks* 👍
Hahaha!!!!! Some Zeppelin and some Acca Dacca! (That’s Aussie for AC/DC)
Wow, amazing...
Glad to see I'm not the only one to loose grip on the rock....us rookies got a ways to go...
Take care mate and talk soon!
Thanks for the great info. I’m just getting ready to do some polishing myself. Will make a video giving you a special shout!
How did I miss this upload!? Aw darnit. Lol I'm just getting started.
You did a snap transition!!! Woot!
7:32 < any stone in the world!
In all honesty to become a master at something you have to develop your own techniques and tools. That's how it's done!
Hahaha! Dude! I love your explanation. It’s a mess! Slap a lake over it and boom! Perfection!
Thanks for sharing
Loved it!!!!!
Thank you mate!
The rocket one looks like a meteor passing Saturns rings 😊
I use sofa fabric for the final shine 😁
Nicely done! I'm sure there are some awesome power tools out there that will make it easier for you and safer. Keep the videos coming!
Cheers mate 👍
