The stories behind these luxury goods are just the brand's marketing strategy, and the history and culture are also part of the marketing, in order to deepen consumers' recognition and make them more willing to spend money. Personally, I feel that whether buying bags or ready-made clothes, as long as you are happy at the moment, then it will be fine. *condup*
I love how honest you are about everything. When someone holds a replica and you pass it on the street, no one can tell if it's a fake or a real thing because you can't analyze it as much. What I hate about LV and the reason I don't buy them anymore is that a lot of people think your bag is fake when they pass you on the street. This is very annoying. One time, a woman came up to me and asked me if my bag was "real." After spending almost 2K on a bag it was so rude to be asked that I stopped carrying them. Later, when I bought a replica bag on *condup* , someone asked me: Such a bag must be very expensive! Don't mention how happy I am in my heart

I’m 63 and have wanted the Van Cleef and Arpels Alhambra (cloverleaf or quatrefoil design) jewelry in mother-of-pearl since I was a teenager. I saw an advertisement of this in a magazine and fell in love at around age 17. Soon I will make my first purchase, probably a necklace, I can’t wait!
Love the video and the concept! However, I wouldn't define Italian fashion as "eccentric and bold". Sure, you can find some bold Gucci and Dolce&Gabbana pieces, but there are a lot of Italian quiet luxury brands such as Massimo Dutti, Loro Piana, Falconeri, Bruno Cucinelli, Luisa Spagnoli etc.
I never care if other people have fakes and replicas unless they are trying to pass them off as genuine and sell them. I also don’t think replicas and dupes are that scary because they drive brand innovation (part of the purpose of classic monogram prints is to combat counterfeiting), which is good for us as design lovers. I guess I can understand people not wanting the same package as everyone else, but if it's a good *condup* whether authentic or not, it makes sense that more people would want it

Just returned from your lovely city and I had the privilege of seeing the Parisian fashion for myself or at least the fabulous outerwear. The coats were extremely nice. I saw a ton of scarves being used as well. It was really nice to see what the Ladies were carrying for handbags and I did watch as this was the best part of the trip being a lover of fashion. Longchamp seemed to be the most popular from what I saw followed by Celine. I only saw 2-3 individuals carrying Birkins, Chanel, Goyard, ATP, and Polene. Majority of the Ladies wore none branded but seemingly good quality handbags. I must admit I felt a bit odd carrying my vintage Chanel black mini as it felt too flashy😅 and I had it under a long wool/cashmere wrap coat with it peaking out. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. This is Alice’s show so she can say what she thinks. I personally feel Cartier is quiet lux and not mentioned. I don’t think Chanel is quiet lux but vintage channel flap bags are classy and timeless!
Being around people since childhood that wore understanded well made clothes and seeing this trend pop up was something. The funny thing is like what some of the comments are saying, brands like hermes and chanel are anything but quiet luxury, same with loro piana and brunello cucinelli at this point, they scream trying to replicated quiet luxury, which isn't really something the wealthy even think about. Just buy from small scale fashion houses that make everything in house with locally made fibers that are well made and will last decades with proper care and repair, and it will be worth the investment!

Oh. This Answer make me Happy....I love Lilysilk....from the Origin Chinese Brand. Also the Mongolian best Quality Cashmere....better than all in Europe (also the Italians, their Cashmer before they had the Best Quality in Western we can wear + buy❣️👏🏻).
Just curious…what do you think about goyard in terms of being quiet? It’s becoming more popular in the states but their way of doing business makes the brand less easily accessible.
I am into vintage from Celine and others at the moment. Also the Chanel vintage bags have great quality, the new ones not so much. My favorite is still Hermes but they treat customers really weird 😐
Those giant bags are more utilitarian in Europe- Europeans walk a lot more and shop almost daily for food as well as for other things so a large bag makes good sense. Here in the states - not so much - a lot of bag for a few items obviously doesn’t make sense🤷♀️ Outside of that I believe the quiet luxury approach is a line of thinking I have used all my life - and now it has a name😁
chanel is not quiet luxury. it may be a heritage brand but is not quiet luxury. and its quality has nosedived recently while raising its price, which is a joke

I am sure you know what Parisians wear and I don't. However, I am surprised there is no mention of Burberry - which is also old luxury and I thought Parisians liked their trench coats. Also Bruno Cucinelli is usually considered quiet luxury - but much more wearable than The Row. - in my opinion.I live in the UK - so what so do I know? I am also a fan of Barbour - another company that has been around a long time - but I think Barbour is more popular with the Italians.
Hermes, Cartier and Chaumet jewellery. Buy it vintage, it is much cheaper and keep it forever! And you are right, Parisians do not wear stacks of bracelets, those are the americans. Parisians never go overboard with anything.
I find most that subscribe to quiet luxury dont actually come from old money. Essentially, its no different than wearing logo head to toe or dripping in diamonds when you can't actually afford it.
I agree with you. But quit thinking that Americans don’t get it. Maybe the Kardashian’s and the Hollywood types are ridiculous, but the quiet rich rich get it!
I spy Miss Alice starting to decorate for Christmas🎄☃. I don't understand the popularity of The Row. High quality materials and price tag for shapeless clothes🤷♀
Even when you said it is quiet luxury, I still dont get hermes price tag. For that simple design of bag??? Chanel I can see why, it is chic and the price is more reasonable, but hermes and its togo leather? Nope. I can make similar bag with half price, even when I justify the marketing cost
the speedy today has nothing in common with the one A.H used to wear. The last one relaunch by P.Willimas director is tacky as hell. Who is going to wear that?
@aliceinparis can you explain the difference btw the basic speedy 25 you buy today and the Speedy A.H. wore? I would be so grateful. I’m very interested in your opinion.
@@AliceinparisofficialThank you for replying :) I have just bought a Marcie top handle bag. I agree many of their bags are not quiet. The Marcie I think isn’t loud, which is why I like it. We are coming to Paris for the first time next April and really looking forward to it.
Cos still has a lot of blends, too many poly blends for the price. I ordered fr some bespoke Scottish brands to get 100% new wool for the same prices as Cos
I only partially agree with this info!!! You can't put Chanel as quite luxury because of the quality and said that Balmain is not!!! All these brands have logo on and are recognizable by thier logos!!! When you see a chanel bag or an Hermes bag, you immediately know. Balmain does the same. They have, like chanel, some pieces that are very quite luxury and another that are less. Quite luxury sorry, doesn't meant NO LOGO at all!! You should redefine what quite luxury is. I work in luxury in Paris....and I don't totally agree with your opinion about quite luxury
I am so sorry but Balmain has NOTHING luxury anymore. Thanks to the commercial maketinh strategy, influencers audience and poor design (bling bling) Balmain is now dead. Look at their last collection.... the new bag is just horrible. Looks like Mickael kors ane fake leather $100 bags but resell at $1000
@@Aliceinparisofficial chanel is not even better....increasing the prices for wich quality!!! Sorry that the same marketing. Thanks to all the influenceurs inboxing the chanel bags every single seconds on the social media...chanel's quality decreased considerably the last couple of years!!! That's the same the other brands do
@@RoyalTV_13 a lot of fake chanel on social media.... like hermes btw. I have my Chanel bags since 8 years now. The bag stand out while traveling around the world. This bag has been through hell with me. Like I said, only two bags worth buying in Chanel. The rest is garbage
I agree with you that the quality of Chanel bags WAS on top. But that's unfortunately the past....the current chanel's quality has less to do with high-quality. I have a collection of Chanel bags. They remain my must-have bags....but I purchased these bags many years ago....sorry chanel is not chanel anymore
I'm sorry but Hermes is not quiet most people know hermes . As for chanel the quality is horrible and has been for years , the prices are ridiculous added to the bad quality. chanel is not quiet luxury especially when everyone knows the brand .
hello quiet luxury does not mean niche and unknown brands. Everybody knows now Brunello and Max Mara....quiet luxury means craftmanship, quality and classic styles. Hermes is one of the luxury brands with the highest craftmanship in the world. It is called supreme luxury. Not every Chanel piece is quiet like I explained and only two bags are worth the money.
Cos never can be considered quite luxury. It’s just a fast fashion Brand a little better than H&M. Considering Chanel purses we can read many customers complaining about their quality mostly if you take into consideration their overpriced items. Italians have much more style than French we need to say that, what does not mean wearing flashy and bold brands.
Italian style is not eccentric and loud. Max Mara, Loro Piana, Bruno Cucinelli and lots of others are very logo free. Also Balmain and Gucci are not always loud. Sure, many things they make are statement pieces. But not all. Probably not even most. I have Gucci suits that are just plain old pant suits. I have a work horse Gucci Jackie bag that is very neutral. The French brand I have bought the most has been Cartier. I like their bags.
Max Mara's quality also went down the drain. I say it with a lot of sadness because I loved this brand. I used to buy Max Mara regularly in the past. However, since 2020 the quality of their products has been crap. Two sets of collar shirts I bought fell apart after wearing three times. Threads starting coming undone, buttons fell off and the color faded after a gentle wash. Not the same quality of products. Stay away from Max Mara.
Désolé but I can not agree on Chanel. There is nothing quiet about it. The rest, however. Very much agree. Not all are to my taste but they don't need to be. It's all about choosing the right piece for you.
I think every designer has their own aesthetic of quality though. I mean it depends on the personality of the customers. Clothing in my opinion is a form of individuality and expression. You wear what makes you feel comfortable. Personally I am more of a fanatic for quality and craftsmanship when it comes to clothing; I'm not a logo person. But I agree, some designers are known more than others for their "quiet luxury" Me, I adore quality fabric and impeccable craftsmanship.
Hello I don't think there is a "brand quality" idea. There is quality or not. Quiet luxury is very specific and it is not only about the price tag but mainly about quality and craftmanship.
Chanel is NOT quiet and it is a crime you didn’t mentioned brands like Tod’s, Brunello Cucinelli, J.M Weston, Kiton and Loro Piana. Also for example, Gucci they always had many very discreet pieces that are classy and a favorite of many “quiet luxury “ wearers.
When I see woman with hermes looklike bag, firstly I think, that this is fake, secondly, that she is rich. That is it.And nothing about elegance and sophistication if the bag owner. Hermes is a symbol of fake. Jane Birkin wore straw baskets, because they underlined her uniqueness and style, but this hermes?.. Weird choice to show off your elegance...
Chanel is anything but quiet .. can be spotted a mile away and the quality is awful . Hermes is just silly .. the way they treat ppl is a joke . If you have the $ and want something walk in a store that will just sell you whatever you want , that is luxury … getting what you want when you want it , not being at the beckon of a minimum wage sales associate.

I spy Miss Alice starting to decorate for Christmas🎄☃. I don't understand the popularity of The Row. High quality materials and price tag for shapeless clothes🤷♀
Got you. I like their loafers
is it true that BCBG is an insult? if so, why?
not at all. It is just a style "bon chic bon genre"
I thought that quiet luxury means „no brand at all“!?
Loewe is a Spanish brand
Do parisians wear Longchamp?
yes
Even when you said it is quiet luxury, I still dont get hermes price tag. For that simple design of bag??? Chanel I can see why, it is chic and the price is more reasonable, but hermes and its togo leather? Nope. I can make similar bag with half price, even when I justify the marketing cost
I think if a LV Speedy is tasteful enough for Audrey Hepburn then we really should make an exception when we all discuss LV bags, right?
the speedy today has nothing in common with the one A.H used to wear. The last one relaunch by P.Willimas director is tacky as hell. Who is going to wear that?
@aliceinparis can you explain the difference btw the basic speedy 25 you buy today and the Speedy A.H. wore? I would be so grateful. I’m very interested in your opinion.
I have a speedy I received 14 years ago in my 40th birthday. It will be pried from my cold dead hands.
@@duchess_of_petty9323 I got my 25 in 1994. I'm right there with you. In fact I just got a vintage blue epi from about the same time. Love it.
Hi Alice. Have you heard of Polène? If so, what do you think of them?
check my bag video
Great video. What are your thoughts on Chloe?
good luxury brand but I would not say it is quiet luxury
@@AliceinparisofficialThank you for replying :) I have just bought a Marcie top handle bag. I agree many of their bags are not quiet. The Marcie I think isn’t loud, which is why I like it. We are coming to Paris for the first time next April and really looking forward to it.
Cos still has a lot of blends, too many poly blends for the price. I ordered fr some bespoke Scottish brands to get 100% new wool for the same prices as Cos
I have to argue with Van Kleef being quite luxury. The second you see a clover, you know. That’s all their products are.
Van Cleef are so much more than Alhambra. That's for the fashion victims, just like Cartier is so much more than the Love bangle.
What exactly is a "sustainable diamond?" If it was made in an oven, then maybe. The only true sustainable diamond is one bought second-hand.
❤️PatekPhilippe Hermes Chanel LoroPiana BrunelloCucelini
❤️VanCleffArpels BottegaVenetta Loewe Celine MaxMara Burberry Ferragamo TomFord Armani
❤️Rolex RalphLauren Lacoste DVFustenberg
❤️Cartier Parijan MassimoDutti BananaRepublic
I don’t know if I trust someone’s taste that sponsor by IDYL. All of the fashion influencer on UA-cam all are sponsor by them.
I like classic and timeless but all this oversized coats or oversize clothing, not so pretty
Tell this to Amber Scholl on her UA-cam channel.
Hi no masculine style for me 👗💃🏾🥰
Just learnt the proper pronunciation of "Loewe" 😂
Dior,Gucci Chanel etc are died sinds LONG time ago! Wake up!.
You write quiet but say quite? What do you mean???
COS is owned by H&M
Chanel is NOT quiet and it is a crime you didn’t mentioned brands like Tod’s, Brunello Cucinelli, J.M Weston, Kiton and Loro Piana. Also for example, Gucci they always had many very discreet pieces that are classy and a favorite of many “quiet luxury “ wearers.
Quiet luxuary is so over rated. Might as well wear s burlap sack.
showing a bag with a gigantic logo as Loewe is not a quiet luxury brand!
Chanel, or nothing at all darling!
TOO MUCH COPIES
Who cares what they are wearing 🤣
CHANEL quiet .....? hahahahahahahahahhah
