We have our own «polar express», running from Trondheim in central Norway to Bodø in the north. You will be crossing the arctic circle on your way. The Lofoten islands, a not too long boat ride from Bodø, is worth a visit. Mountains, fjords, white sandy beaches, and quaint old fishing villages. :-)

We went in early April, but we kind wished we waited a few weeks for more things to be blossoming. It's can be tricky to time that, of course.

​@aquariumsalt Was there enough open as far as cafes and shops? Looks like you were able to rent a row boat. I'm going late April next year, but worried the "tourist-y" things will be closed.
