  • How to use forearm rotation in badminton - 5 shots biomechanics. I will show you how not to use the forearm, and also how to use it correctly. In badminton the forearm biomechanics is really important to get more power in your shots, and to avoid injuries in the wrist and elbow. With the correct badminton grip, it is easier to learn the right technique, and to use the forearm the right way, with forearm rotation. The Elbow is also important to utilize the full power of your shot. Let me show you 5 examples on this, in this wrist tutorial - Enjoy!

    The demonstrations and comparisons with wrong and correct techniques are very efficient ways to help us (beginners and even the players who have been played for years). Using the correct techniques really is the step for the next level up. Can't thank you enough for puting lots of efforts making these videos. 👍

    If my racket holding hand hurts on the upper part of below the elbow - that means I am not using my arm correctly - right? So what should I do now - wait and rest until the pain goes away or may I start training carefully and consciously?

    • @myclamish
      @myclamish 2 роки тому

      I was in a similar situation when I started badminton. I am self taught so i taught myself the wrong form and my joint areas started to hurt. I would rest it and not aggravate it any further till it doesn't hurt, and then spend some serious time fixing muscle memory. I wouldn't want to try when still injured because you're going to accidentally do it the wrong way still for a while, even when being careful. It took me a solid month or so to unlearn and another month to relearn just the basics of swinging correctly. Now that I've gotten a lot better with more or less correct form, nothing ever hurts from swinging, muscles just get sore from overuse some times, but you can feel the difference between sore muscles and actual pain.
      Just my 2 cents.

    • @myclamish
      @myclamish 2 роки тому +1

      @@foxesruler that's part of what took me so long to unlearn and relearn, cause I didn't quite know what I was doing wrong either (it was pretty similar to this video though, i don't remember exactly but it was some kind of pushing instead of using arm rotation) -- if you can get a coach or trainer to go over the basics with you that would be best. for me i had some friends that were really good to give me some pointers, and then i just followed along with a bunch of youtube videos and shadowed some other players to watch what they did. i also started working out the muscles more so they could support the fast movements and not require unnecessary movements from other parts of my arm to support it.
