    Disgusting treatment of police by lowly mayor and whoever the other big mouth was. Hope citizens get rid of him. The officer did a good job.

    There was a follow up that Willy Walker was in violation of his liquor license, and a hearing was set for Jan. 20, 2023 I Springfield with the ATF. I hope he lost his liquor license.

      @@mysticnovelbro well, it's been months since this incident. It shows that the mayor who owned the pit stop selling liquor had no problem selling to people who appear intoxicated and behind the wheel. In the full video you actually see how the mayor is upset about police stopping criminal behavior only when it affects his business. Shows a plight of immoral attitude the mayor has for the community he is elected and entrusted by the people to take care of.
      While the mayor may refuse to show police store footage until subpoenaed, the mayor went out of his way to berate the officers looking after the safety of the Houston, MO community.
      As for @JerryUSMC's comment, his point is his prediction of a complete 180 full blown investigation the mayor would demand and full cooperation of police investigation when the criminal behavior directly affects only himself and business.

      @@mysticnovelbrobro the facts are in the video. Dude drove to the gas station highly intoxicated and was going to drive away. The clerk called the cops out of fear of what could happen. Use your brain

    He said "don't ever pull back on this property again"...sweet!! one less place these officers have to response to when getting call for.
    Ohh maybe they are running some kind of "business" that don't want police in that area...you know..drive away their business..maybe it's worth an investigation. 😅

    How the officer was treated. Give me a break. What has the officer(s) done prior to this to make them so mad? I kind of doubt this guy just flipped out for no reason. The officer even engaged in illegal search violating the 4th Am. seen in his body cam. It certainly sounds like they have been engaging in entrapment as well. The Mayor himself also did nothing to mistreat this officer. Question you should be asking is how many times has this officer broke the Law and mistreated Citizens to get a reaction like this. Good for the Mayor for standing up to him.

    The officer expected the business to provide him the evidence to make an arrest. That wouldn't be necessary of the officer would have conducted a legit traffic stop. And didn't try to bullshit his way into making them cooperate

    • @rizo15
      @rizo15 Рік тому +2

      You realize officers can't be everywhere all the time witnessing every crime, right? Citizens are our best witnesses to inform police of crimes in progress. Their testimony can be evidence and cause for detaining someone, similar to how camera footage is evidence. There are a lot of ways to investigate a crime and it doesn't always start with a traffic stop.
