My lock module died. At first a hammer bang would start it but now nothing. If I replace the lock module with one from a junk yard will I have to reprogram the computer?

2008 Infiniti G 35 base model
Replace steering lock control kit works for a day following day car does not want to turn on and I have to play with the ignition button (turn on and off) for the dashboard to light up any recommendations
