In "Celebrity World" that can be VERY old. All depends on your audience and what you do as entertainment etc. You, of course, know that she has had plenty of face work done not to mention she had her teeth fixed. Just google "sonny and cher show" or similar and check the images. She was always beautiful except for her teeth. But gravity does take its toll.

They are not the same. Cher makes fun of herself. Madonna takes her self more serious. Yes they both make dance/pop music and wear little clothing, and have the same type of fan base. But Cher can take a joke and make fun of herself, she laughs about her cosmetic enhancements. Madonna never discusses them. Nothing wrong with that. But clearly, they aren't the same.
They both had/have very carefully crafted personas that differentiate them from run-of-the-mill pop singers. They both found out that mixing a little bit of being yourself with a lot of iconoclastic imagery and publicity went a really long way. And thank the cosmos for BOTH of them! Enough said.
Rosie was SO fng good/funny here! Absolutely peak/classic, iconic Rosie Show (mid 90s daytime TV). Yep, rarely if ever saw Cher blatantly enjoying herself so much and this loose! Wouldn't at ALL be surprised if this one episode got Rosie the Emmy that year (or the next)!
I think it's interesting Cher said she wasn't very well known in Japan because Japan is very big on pop music. But this was pre-believe so I'm sure she became well known in Japan after that song came out. But I could be wrong
Yeah, well, you're very late to the party and so is Japan. Cher's been a superstar probably twice as long as you've been alive. Don't get me wrong, she's still insecure and can be a mean bitch--but a very talented one.

I remember when believe came out (I was probably 4 or 5) and my mother had a cassette tape of Turn Back Time on Cher's workout video. My mother also had the camel candle holder from Cher's catalog. So maybe I haven't been alive that long but I'm very well aware of a lot of the classic superstar musicians. Don't judge me cuz of my youth.

Once you click on one, Big Brother suggests more for you which is not such a bad thing. :-) Music these days has taken quite a turn for the worse. Add to that, I had to live through all that depressing alternative rock crap too.

Cher is one hell of a classy women. I admire her so much. Im 55 yrs old and and wish someday i could see her perform and even better meet her. Of course that would never happen but i can have a few dreams here and there
