Making people’s dreams come true.🌷You didn’t touch on any payment aside from travel and meal allowance, I would be interested to know if the intended parents pay for the donated egg, or eggs, and what the amount would be. Also what the Foundation charges the intended parents.
Egg donation can compensate around $10k to $15k. I’m not sure though if it’s more or less compensation when bundled with surrogacy (aka traditional surrogacy).
It’s interesting to think about the fact that if you donate sperm or eggs to multiple people, all of the descendants of those eggs or sperm are siblings. I presume because of confidentiality, each of the people that you donate to cannot know about each other, so they wouldn’t know about potential siblings their children have.
Varies depending on the country. I live in the northern part of Europe, and surrogacy in itself is illegal, since it’s seen as a commodity when money is involved. But egg/sperm donation is totally legal, and I know that the donors families have to live an approximate amount of distance between them - also the children will get notified on wether or not they have siblings. Otherwise it would turn into a total incest party. But it all depends on where you live. 🧐
Great video I really enjoyed watching it, very informative! I wish I was more fertile because I would’ve donated my eggs especially for the LGBQT+🏳️🌈 /Heterosexual families! I also would definitely be a surrogate 🥰! Beautiful selfless act of kindness and the most wonderful gift 💝💙👶🏼.
Im a gc surrogate and had transfer day done today I just watched your video and Im not sure how I feel about it. Its your eggs and genes that are passed in the fertilized egg and coming from a Christian background myself I found this unethical. Kind of surprising how you are for this because of your faith. Surrogacy itsself is controversial overall, but of out of conviction, this is where I would draw a line. We can agree to disagree 🤷🏼♀️. Still love you guys and congratulations on your new home! 🏡 ❤
You should judge until you are in the shoes of the person in need. My husband and I have 5 embryos we are looking to gift to a family. We would rather give those embryos a chance at life than destroy them. Yes, they are our genetic children but I can’t carry any more children and for us that means our family is complete.

This is so messed up and wrong on so many levels. And the fact that both of you are actively celebrating this is even more evil.

No way would I give one of my children away
An egg is not an embryo just for clarity. An embryo would be your child. An egg isn't a child until it's partnered with sperm.

@@angiejohnrc2627 thank you. It is so much better to give them to help other than destroy them!! That's amazing of you to do that.
