Thank you for this video! I'm Armenian but i don't know the language at all, i want to start learning it but I'm also learning Spanish so I don't want to fully delve into Armenian and overwhelm myself until I get a grasp on basic conversational Spanish. I think these apps will help me start to learn a little bit of Armenian without paying for classes or committing a ton of time to the language (yet/until I'm ready)
I’m Arab and I fell in love with Armenian culture, music food everything about Armenia was beautiful and unique, including the language, which I am trying to learn, but I don’t know where to start and what are the resources that are available. Thank you for this
Hi ! I discovered your channel from this video, while searching for ways to learn Armenian 😁 I'm French and I am so amazed by Armenia that I want to learn the language, this video was really useful because, out of the many apps I couldn't choose which one is better, etc. Have a nice day 😘
Nice video. I’m a British Greek Cypriot and absolutely love learning foreign languages. I speak English and Greek fluently .. and I’m studying Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. I’d love to learn some Armenian too. Armenians are our brothers! You look like a beautiful Cypriot girl by the way, haha. We look very similar! Thanks for the suggestions!
Thank you very much!! I have family that has lived in Athens before and I love Greece and it’s people, history and culture. Greek and Armenian have also been proven to be the most similar to each other (Despite both being so isolated!). I’ve read theories that both peoples may have originated from similar Anatolian tribes as well. ζήτω η Ελλάς🇬🇷🇨🇾🇦🇲
Nice video, Mariam. AyoLingo is excellent, but it is riddled with glitches and bugs meaning that it is just one good update away from being EXTREMELY excellent. I personally like using Anki to make vocab flash cards, as it is open-source and fully customisable. Glossika is also awesome for Armenian, but this is paid. I’ve recently discovered LingQ which is great, a lot of Armenian audio on there. Clozemaster is also very useful for contextual learning. I think the difficulty in general with learning Armenian online is that once you get to intermediate or advanced stages, the resources dry up. It’s not like French or German where there’s a million ‘Easy French, slow listening’ videos. My Armenian teachers told me to focus on listening which I’m trying to do, but it’s difficult because the only content for that is basically native level news reports etc.
Thank you for your input!! I entirely agree. There are so few resources for Armenian learning out there. Hopefully more are on their way!. As for learning more advanced and Intermediate Armenian, I suppose the best solution would be to really just dive into conversing with people IRL. Even if one has to merely converse with friends or people at an Armenian church, it can really show where improvements have to be made or even how much progress has been made.
I feel like you should get with a developer and make a better Armenian language app! From your layout of the nuance's and your criticisms (which I feel are well founded). I would love to see such an from you and definitely use it. ❤
Barev dzez, inchpes ek ? I am half turkish half armenian from my grandparents, i was born in Brazil, i wish i could speak armenian at the same level i speak turkish, many armenian who came to live here were born in turkish cities. You look like an armenian friend who also was born in Brazil. Hajoxtyuner.
Hi! Thank you for the video. When I hear Armenian speech I can understand like 30-50% of it but I don't know the alphabet. I'm currently learning Chinese. Should I start learning Armenian too or it is better to focus on a one language at a time?
Hi! I believe you should definitely learn multiple languages at once. I have been doing this for a while and even if it does become confusing, knowledge can often “compound” over time and sometimes make learning easier :) Besides, it should be easier for you if you already understand a good chunk of Armenian!
duolingo sucks now. so many ads and extra shit you don't need that continuously interrupt the flow. "HEY DO YOU WANT DIAMONDS?" "no, I'll just keep goi-" "HEY WATCH THIS AD" "okay I guess I have to... alright, onto the next lesson-" "YOU'RE DOING GREAT!" "thanks, please let me lear-" "HOW ABOUT MORE HEARTS?"
